Happy Birthday to Me!

Well it happened..I had another birthday!  And not just any birthday, my 40th birthday!! I really thought that it would be a big deal to me. I mean hello, more than likely over half of my life is already behind me. I was perfectly okay with it all, though. Thirty hit me like a ton of bricks but 40 is all good. We had a small family get together at my parents house on my birthday. I had been sick and was still feeling a little yucky (Carl had a man cold the week before) so most everybody went swimming, except me. We had bbq from Kibb's and Carl even got their hot sauce for me...that stuff is so good. We also had cake, ice cream, and presents. You're never too old to enjoy presents! My people are full of jokes..vitamins and LARGE print puzzles! And then there was the yard sign!  All in all I had a stress free 40th birthday spent with my people who love me the most! Much Love, Beth

Sixteen Candles

Happy Birthday to my sweet Makena Faith! Not only is it just a birthday, it is her sixteenth birthday. Earlier in the week we bought her a car and hid it out at the farm shop. She had no idea what we were up to because technically she can't drive without me until next month...we had talked about waiting, so that's what she thought we were doing. She also asked for a new laptop, and a few other smaller things. Well, nobody wanted to wait until her birthday so we gave it to her the night before! She was a very happy girl! She loves all the extras it has too. We had a Luau for her party so we had to rub some butts and smoke some meat. My pretty Makena. Her name is Hawaiian and she has always called herself "Makena Hawaiian". Makena and Ellie Kate She got her laptop too! She had a pretty great birthday for a Friday the 13th! I am so proud of her. She is very loyal, talented, and she doesn't mind voicing her opinion when it

Let Freedom Ring

Happy Independence Day! There are so many freedoms that I  am thankful for! The freedom to homeschool my children, freedom of speech, freedom to worship the Almighty God, the freedom to protect my family, and the list goes on. We all know that freedom for our great nation wasn't given freely. Our forefathers fought and died in hope that one day their ancestors would be able to do the very things that we all too often take for granted, today. We had a great day of celebration in the Munger house. Carl worked first thing but made it back in time to cook fish at my parent's house for lunch (with the help of my dad, Trey, and Papa). My mom invited my dad's sister and her husband to eat with us and a couple of people from church. We had a fun time of food, fellowship, and swimming!
