Our First Homeschool Field Trip

Carlie and Makena with their phones...what did we ever do without them?! Trey and Pop were being silly! Our way home, we stopped at a gas station in Searcy and they had a dunking booth set up to raise money for Arkansas Children's Hospital.  Trey thought it was pretty funny when he dunked him. Today we woke up bright and early and headed to our first field trip of the homeschool year!  We took a 3 1/2hour trip to Blanchard Springs Caverns.  Trey is studying mammals and of course we saw lots of bats!  He will also be studying rocks and rock formations a little later in the semester.  We had the best time with Nanny and Pop!  It was chilly and humid....and a little stinky but it was fun!! So happy to have a little break from school :) Much Love, Beth

Soccer Saturday

Trey and Jacob were ready to kick some booty! The T-Train is coming! Run, T! Trey with his team! They won :) A forced picture for Mommy! Makena Faith chose not to look at me. I took her picture anyway, though! We are finally getting the gist of this soccer thing!  Usually we have the earlier games, but today it had to be at 10:15....and it felt like it was 500 degrees outside.  I think I would rather have the cooler temps than get to sleep in. Carl has been able to make it to all of the games so far.  They are still harvesting  and I am still waiting for the rain, or that nice little lull that (hopefully) comes between rice and bean harvest. As soon as the game was over we had to rush to Elijah's 8th birthday party.  His actual birthday isn't until October 1st, but we like to celebrate early around here!  I'm just glad the party was at my mom and dad's house instead of Cabot!  We had some yummy fish, fries, hushpuppies, fried bisc

Little Bit of Life

One day Trey and Makena wanted to ride bikes during recess :) Carlie Erin and Sadie Lou I love SnapChat filters! This is what the back of a soccer mom SUV looks like! The second row has snack paper, and T's stinky shin guards and cleats! Carl got this on his game camera :)  Needless to say he is excited! Check out the talent here....why can't they use that talent for something good?! Saturday morning double header.  We won the second game and lost the first. Carl sent me this picture one day.  I thought it was pretty awesome. Just thought I'd get rid of a few more pictures on my phone :) Much Love, Beth

County Fair 2016

Lol! My girls I look so short compared to MM! The three amigos on the tornado.  I think I have a picture with them on this ride every year! Another forced picture...Trey was skeptical! A blurry picture of Pop and Carlie Erin :) We spent Friday evening at the Arkansas County Fair in DeWitt.  We had fun and it wasn't crowded at all because almost everyone else in the county was either at home or at the ball game next door!  The big game "The Battle of ARCO" was being played this night as well.  Of course Stuttgart won (Go Birds!)...by a LOT!  I wasn't really in the mood to go to the game.  We will try a less crowded one in Stuttgart.  Anyway, we enjoyed our time with Nanny and Pop at the fair , and were pleasantly surprised that Carl actually got off early enough to join us! Making Memories...it's kind of our thing :) Much Love, Beth

Homeschool Update and More

Well here we are wrapping up our 5th week of homeschool and things are still going great!  We absolutely love being able to adjust our schedule to fit whatever we need to do.  Notice I said "need".  I still like to get things done as close to our schedule as possible, because I know of a couple of things we have on our calendar coming up.  We haven't made any trips with the co-op so far.  It's just not been at  convenient times for us.  One Thursday Carlie was sick, the next we had to be in town at that time (plus Thursdays are soccer days, so that makes it even harder), and then this week it was on a Friday....and we had a lot of stuff to get done today.  I think Carlie had a test and 2 or 3 quizzes and Makena had a couple of quizzes, and T had a lot of stuff that just would have been a pain to catch up on.  Sometimes, its just not worth missing a day of school! Hopefully we can catch the next fieldtrip.  I feel awful because I reached out to them and then I haven

Happy Birthday, Trey!!

Happy Birthday, Trey Landon!! It's hard to believe you are already 11! You are one of the funniest, most fun people I know. There's always a party when you're around :) Your favorite things to do are: hunt, fish, ride 4wheelers, play the piano, and play soccer. I'd say that makes you a well-rounded kid :) We are proud of you, Trey, and we love you "to infinity and beyond"! On Trey's actual birthday, we went to eat lunch at Mr. Pancho's with Nanny, Carl, and the girls.  They sang to him and put ice cream in his face (and nose!).  He also got a couple of other presents.   Happy Birthday, T Man

Trey's Big Saturday!

Go Trey! Kicking the ball in How cute is he?! He was up against a long time friend that he went to private school with. Her name is Devin and they were pretty good friends before he left. Kick it T! Getting Ready for his Angry Birds Party! Carlie and Trey Happy Early Birthday, Trey Landon!! We love us some Legos! We also love cards with $$$ He got a Galaxy Tab from Nanny and Pop He got a new bike from me and Carl Our Saturday was pretty packed as you can see!!  We had to be at the soccer field by 8:45 and then had to be back home for Trey's party by 11:30.  We had plenty of time, but I also had plenty to do.  It has been so warm here that we decided to go ahead and swim at the party!  It was just a family party, but he got to pick the theme and he came up with Angry Birds!  I thought maybe it would be a soccer party or even a sports party, but Angry Birds?!  I'm not sure where tha
