Carnival Time!

We promised the kids that we would take them to the Wings Over The Prairie Festival to ride some rides at the carnival.  I have always loved rides, but lately I've had some issues with medication making me dizzy, so I opted out of spinning!  The kids got their armbands and had a lot of fun! Trey was finally tall enough to enjoy most of the rides and the girls were really good to ride with him. Everybody was gathered around listening to somebody blow in the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest.   We spent most of our time at the other end letting the kids ride the carnival rides.   Makena and Trey.  I was worried about him on this one because his head barely stuck up out of the hole!   Carlie and Makena on the Sizzler.   It was another fun day spent with my little family!  I think that it will be good for us to all get back into our "normal" routine next week. We've had a lot of togetherness this week :)   Beth

Happy Thanksgiving!

The sun was a little bright, but beautiful, none the less!!   Carlie decided to make turkey cookies earlier in the week. She did a great job, even if there was a mess everywhere! All of the yummy desserts at Grammy's Cody made this at his store in Hot Springs and brought it to Grammy's. I didn't know that you could eat raw squash!! Eli, Ellie Kate, and Carlie were just chillin' on the couch waiting for lunch to be ready.   Trey and Noah....Trouble times 2! I think somebody ate too much!!   Today we spent the day at Grammy and Papa's for lunch and Papaw Garrett's at supper.  I am pretty sure I ate way too much and will be living in leggings and stretch pants for a good week!  It was a great Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for.  Most of all that I have a Savior big enough to save an undeserving sinner like me.  I am also thankful that I got to spend this day with my family.  It has been a great Thanksgiving B

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

They each get to put their birthday trains around the bottom of the tree. He is such a goofball! Carlie, with the perfect pose! Carl was making her laugh, so I'm surprised a got this!   The finished product! I thought that I would probably do some rearranging after they went to bed, but I decided to leave it just like it is :) I love them so much!!   Snoopy thought decorating was exhausting!

School Thanksgiving Program 2013

Trey, in his classroom before the program started. A couple of cuties from Trey's class....he doesn't think so, but I do! Carlie with her friends, Hannah and Abby Trey, Olivia, Jacey, and Jonah as Indians   Singing "Come Ye Thankful People, Come" Trey and Carl, ready to watch the girls sing in the choir The did a great job. You know there are always those kids who are REALLY loud and should NOT be in front of the microphone, well, we had one of those this time, too! You can hear her LOUD and CLEAR on the video I got.  It's such a shame because the other kids sound so nice!  There. That was my soapbox topic for the day! I couldn't see Carlie from where I was at, so Carl moved to the back and was able to get both of the girls.   They look so happy!   I really hate that they turned all of the lights off because you can't see some of the kids. Thankfully mine were in the light:)   Happy Thanksgiving

Deer Huntin'

Carl has been pretty busy with trying to take all three kids hunting and still finding time to hunt himself.  I think he is surprised at how much the girls like going!  Carlie literally loves it.  He took her a couple of weeks ago and she missed a doe.  Makena went yesterday, and saw nothing but a coon!  Well it was finally Trey's turn and he killed a button buck.  Carl said they couldn't see the horns when he shot it.  He didn't care, though he was just as happy as could be :) He was so excited, although you can't really tell in this picture.  We ate it and he thought he was going to tell everybody how many pieces they could eat because it was his deer!   Makena isn't nearly as "in" to all of this as the other two are. She is my girly girl :) This is the picture Carl sent me when I asked him for a hunting picture! Really?!   This morning Carl decided he was going to hunt a little in the backyard.  We always have deer back there e

Happy Birthday, Mom!

I can't say happy birthday to my Carlie without saying it to my mom!  She really is the best mom in the world.  Even though she drives me crazy sometimes (and I know I do her too!), I love her and thank her for always taking care of me.  The two birthday girls!   I love you Mom! Happy Birthday to you and I hope you have many more!!   Beth

Happy 13th Birthday, Carlie Erin!

Carlie and her friends at the bowling ally for her 13th birthday party! Gift cards are awesome! Carlie, Bonnie, and Katelyn   All of the youger kids (Trey and the cousins) Trey bowled the highest score out of everybody that night!   More presents!   Noah was excited for Carlie to open his present (so sweet)! You can't bowl without music, duh! I cannot believe that my baby is 13 years old!  I have a teenager.  Besides the fact that it makes me feel old, I can't believe that she is not my baby anymore.  That sweet little 4lb 12oz. baby girl is not a teenager. She has become such a beautiful, smart, girl.  She is very determined and knows exactly what she wants (which is sometimes makes it hard for us to agree!).  I couldn't be more proud of the young lady she is.  Yes, sometimes she has a smart mouth, and she leaves her clothes EVERYWHERE, but I love her to pieces and we will just have to work through all of that other stuff :)

Church Fall Festival 2013

They were all ready for the hayride! The balloon stomp is always a hit! Takin' 'em out one by one! Bro. Jeff talking to Josie Megan and Carlie A very blurry picture of me and Makena.  We were going down the road on the hayride!   We did things a little different for our annual fall festival this year.   Instead of doing a bunch of games and stuff, we decided to play some games, do a hayride, and of course eat!  This was more of a "meet our new pastor" fun fest.  I haven't said a lot about our new pastor because I guess I have been a little guarded this time, but I really do like him and his family.  He is so eager to help our church, and thankfully has shown no psychotic tendencies! It was a fun night of fellowship and Carl even got off to be there!  I'm telling you what, harvest is just dragging on for us!  We can't wait until all of the beans are cut and the trucks are taken in :)  Of course Carl is just ready to go to de
