Pajama Day

Yesterday was Pajama Day in the Kindergarten through third grades.  This is the only picture I got of them and yes, it was taken with my phone!  They were all yelling "Pajama Party"!  Mrs. Odom let them watch a movie in the afternoon and have popcorn and drinks in class.  Of course they loved it.  Trey is sitting on the bottom row next to his best bud, Cam. He really does love going to school and that makes things so much easier on me :) Beth

Basketball Highlights

Carl coached his boys last night.  They lost by three points but had every opportunity to win!  It was a good game.  I can see them working on fundamentals on Monday's practice!! I couldn't resist this one! Makena in the stands with her friends Trey, my child who has never met a stranger, found a new friend in Penny!  He was talking his ears off :) Skyler, Carlie, and Heather.....they were SUPER excited that the pee wee girls won their game against St. John's!  GO BIG BLUE!!! There is a very good reason that I didn't get any pictures of the girls playing....I hid out in the concession stand!  I would peek my head out every once in a while to check the score, and I did see Carlie make a shot, but I just get too involved, so I had to step back....AND THEY ACTUALLY WON!!  They didn't have to play that awful mean Otter team and finally played some girls more their size, and they won :)  Carlie and Makena came running to me in excitement and almost knocked me down!  I w

Alone At Last!

Finally....I get to spend a little time at home ALONE!  I almost feel guilty saying that, but lets face it, everybody needs some time to themselves every once in a while :)  After I dropped the kids off at school this morning I was able to get my groceries and come home turn on some Pandora and clean!  I cleaned out the cabinets, got all my laundry washed (and put away), cleaned T's messy room, swept, dusted, vacuumed, and got my messy room cleaned up!  I still have to finish the bathrooms.....and here I am blogging.  I guess I just needed a break :) Here are a few pictures from last week (well, mostly Sunday) Poor Carlie didn't feel good on Sunday morning and was running a little bit of a fever, so I stayed home from church with her.  Poor Oscar looks a little scared!! Makena and Trey were ready to go! Carl and Trey.....I think T had taken a hat off his head and that's why his hair was such a mess!  I was very thankful that he felt good enough to go that morning.  He ne

Happy Birthday, Ellie Kate!

Ellie Kate, age 2 :) Makena, Trey, Noah, and Elijah were ready for some cake! Ellie Kate got a little shy when we started singing Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday, Sweet EK!! Another one of my blurry phone pictures, but doesn't she look precious in her new dress from Casey and Jade?!  It has a bow that matches and is just soo cute!  I really do miss having a little girl to dress.  My girls don't want cutesy stuff anymore :(   BUT, at least they can feed, bathe, and dress themselves (for the most part).  In this picture Ellie Kate was passing out M&M's to everyone.  So cute!! Today we went to Morrilton to celebrate EK's birthday!  She had a Tangled party and even had the dress and wig.....but she wouldn't wear them!  She had a great party and we had a lot of fun visiting with all the Simpson's, Grammy and Papa, and Mom and Dad.  Trey, Noah, and Elijah just wanted to play :)  Mrs. Teresa made some yummy homemade ice cream and Jamie had a very cute cake made.

Mid-Week Update

Happy Hump Day Bloggers!!  Our busy week here is in full swing and headed on the downhill now!  We had our first "away" game in basketball last night.  It was at the public school gym in Stuttgart and went pretty well.  We still lost, but we played a much better game and the girls seemed to have a really good time! FUN, FUN, FUN!! I got a little ahead of myself, let me go back to Monday.  Monday we had Parent Teacher Conference at school in the morning (all three kids had all A's!) and then we had basketball practice from 3 to 4 that afternoon.  Tuesday was back to work/school (even Carl finally went back!) and then a ball game at 6:15.  Today the kids and I went to school and Carl stayed at home and cleaned!  That's right, he didn't have to work because it was too cold.  Let me just say that I love my husband to the moon and back, but if he doesn't go back to work soon, I'm going to go NUTS!   Anyway, tonight we had Discovery at church and finally mad

Pee Wee Basketball Game 1

The Coaches having a "Meeting of the Minds" with the Refs, oh and Makena's head was in there too :) My girlies As you can see we were not very evenly matched! About time for tip-off Thursday night was our first basketball game of the pee-wee season.  The girls have been practicing for a while and due to some scheduling difficulties we didn't have ANY games scheduled, which left us to play with the City League teams in town :(  It is ideal for us as a Christian School to play another Christian School, but we'll just have to make the best of it!  In City League ball  you just never know what you're gonna get (attitudes, roughness, safety, etc.)  but we're just happy to have some games to play at this point!  They lost, but still had a great time and hopefully learned a lot for out games coming up this week!   This is going to be one of those CRAZY BUSY weeks....poor Carl has something every night this week and Monday is the only day for the rest of us to g

Way To Go Hogs!!

Travis, Carl, Makena, Carlie, and Skyler Trey and Halle Beth Me and my bestie, Jill :) Friday night we grabbed some pizzas and headed off to watch the Hogs play with some friends.  It was fun and even bearable for me since I had someone to talk too the whole time.  It was a late night but it was well worth it.  Time With Friends + A Hog Win= A Great Night! Random Pictures from Christmas Break

Here are a few pictures that we took over the last few days of Christmas Break.... One day I bought facial masks and the girls and I had a spa day. It was a lot of fun.  We did pedicures, manicures, and our facials :) They are great girls!  As they are getting older I enjoy spending time with them even more than before.  I want to keep them little, but as I realize how much they are growing up,  I can't wait to see who and what they become. This picture really isn't related to this post, but my mom is just now getting it to me from Christmas!  This was taken Christmas morning at church. Trey loves to play the Wii.  On this particular day it was bowling, but usually he likes to fly the airplanes are play the Karts game where you are driving a go-kart with a steering wheel. I think Oscar finally feels like he's at home with us.  He really enjoys getting to play outside with Sam but he also loves to come inside for a nap.  The kids love him and we all know I love him becaus

New Years Eve/Day

Well we had made plans before we even got out for Christmas to have a New Years Eve bonfire.  Like I said, we were SUPER ready to send 2011 outta here and welcome 2012 with open arms :)  So when I bought groceries I go stuff to cook out with: chicken, burgers, potatoes, beans, all that really good stuff.  Trey also made sure that I had marshmallows and hot dogs on my list.  It was such a beautiful day yesterday too!  We spent the majority of the day outside just playing.  Everyone got over that nasty cold/cough just in time.  I think we went out about 7 and we knew from the very beginning that the kids wouldn't make it until 12, but it was still worth a try.  They only made it until 9:30 and it wasn't even T who wanted to come in, it was Carlie!! I brought them in and gave them a shower and they watched TV for a little while and went to bed before 11.  If they don't care, I certainly don't.  Carl and Trey with Sam Trey had to stoke the fire Me and Carlie Me and Mak
