Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving friends! Hope that you all have had a great day. We have had an awesome day with family and tomorrow we get to go to Wynne and do it all over again with Carl's family. We had lunch at my Grammy and Papa's house. They live just down the road from us. One of my cousins and her daughter came as well as my sister and her family, my parents, and a couple of Uncles and Aunt Vicki. The kids had so much fun playing with remote control cars, riding miniature ponies, riding the go-carts, and playing Pie in the Face. Needless to say we came home and took a quick nap before heading to DeWitt to my Papaw Garrett's house. It was really nice and quiet there, lol. This year my sister and her family had to go to Jonesboro, so they weren't able to be there and a couple of my Dad's siblings had been there at lunch, so it was just us, my parents, and my Uncle Charlie and Aunt Shelia. We had a good time eating and visiting. I am thankful for my family...all of them

Happy Birthday, Carlie!!

Happy 16th Birthday to my oldest, Carlie Erin. She was born about 5 1/2 weeks early and weighed only 4lbs. 12 oz. and was a mere 18 inches long. We had no idea what we were in for. She never slept, which meant that we didn't either. There are so many days I wish I could do-over, knowing and understanding what I do now. She has always been very smart and very determined, but is shy as well. The saying that "the days are long but the years are short" is so true. Some of those long days and nights of crying and ear infections seemed never ending, but look at us now. Sixteen years of watching her grow up.....I honestly cannot believe it is here and the fact that she will be going to college in a couple of years makes me want to savor every minute. I love you to the moon and back sweet girl! Much Love, Mom

Random Picture Randomness

Happy Sunday! My pretty girls! We spent a little while at the farm Friday night getting ready for youth hunt on Saturday. Trey even pitched in putting the corn out. Swampy! This is so out of order, but this came up on my Facebook Memories this morning! They are so old now and it makes me sad! Carlie's last youth hunt because she will be 16 next Saturday!!! Her daddy drives her crazy 99.9% of the time, but she loves to hunt with him! Trey and Carl hunted Saturday afternoon in the lean-up. Instead of a deer he shot a HOG!

So Long Soccer!

Well that's a wrap folks! We had an awesome first season of soccer. Trey played his last game of the season on Saturday and had his team party on Tuesday night. They ate pizza, played games, got trophy necklaces, and talked a lot of smack (at least the boys did)! We also got their team and individual pictures in. I think they turned out great...even though we were sporting some pretty long hair! Much Love, Beth
