The Bright Eyed Brunette

We celebrated Halloween by doing our usual schooling. Our church had our annual Trunk or Treat and the kids had fun and got lots of candy. This is the first year that Carlie got to decorate her own car, and she was super excited. Carlie and Makena did a One Tree Hill theme.  Can you see the giant basketball goal in the back. Makena's hoodie says Scott Body Shop and the back and of course, Carlie is sporting the jersey. They had a lot of fun being involved this year. I did an emoji theme 🤗🤗 My neice, Ellie Kate the Wonder Woman! Anna Grace and Shelby Collin the dragon Me, Carl, and Trey Kids everywhere! Papa and farmer Grammy! Tonight we carved pumpkins with allnof our Discovery classes at church. We had a lot of fun and the Pumpkin Prayer was read and we carved along with it. The Wednesday night adult class got in on all of the fun too. They helped some of the smaller kids. Harleigh and Skylare Bailey throwing a peace sign  Carlie was helping Addie carve her pumpkin. Last week Carlie was given the opportunity to read to one of the preschool classes at a local public school. I think they loved her! Kitties Trey's soccer team Trey Man was working on his history project Makena and Trey decorated a cookie house! We didn't go to either soccer practices because Trey has had a sore throat (swollen tonsils and all), He also didn't have a game this week because his coach is a Boy Scout leader and had to camp with some of his kids. He managed to go to piano and Discovery. His mean old teacher made him do school, even though he felt bad...can you believe that?! The girls bowled Saturday and did well. Another thing on my "to do" list was to get a few pictures of all three kids. When you are working with multiple children, of course you are working with multiple attitudes. You have some that are all about pleasing you, some that are ready to be done after the first shot is captured, and some that just refuse to cooperate and have to be bribed or threatened. Fun times, but I promise you they will never forget taking these every year! Carl (my assistant, lol) took this one with his phone and for a phone picture, I think it turned out pretty well. Towards the end of last week I realized that I really never did any "back to school" pictures with Carlie (or Trey, but I'm pacing myself here). We charged the camera up and headed out and about to search for places to take them. We may have trespassed but shh... So here are a few pictures of my Carlie Erin:

Trey found his charger for his remote control boat, so we headed to the pool to give it a spin after school on Friday. Carl and Dean wrapped up rice harvest for 2017! Praise the Lord! Friday night was a perfect night for a bonfire.  We searched WAY down in the bottom of the box for a head that hadn't been unfolded yet. We are still arguing if this is a cat or a panther. Crazy T says it is a panther!! Makena did the same but liked the shark. T-Man had the sole responsibility of playing goalie at Saturdays' game. We lost, but he did a pretty good job. After an awesome church service on Sunday, we celebrated Eli's 9th birthday. Makena was not happy about Carlie playing photographer!
