More Hoops!

I'm running out of clever names to title my posts about basketball games.  Seriously, I'm kinda tired of basketball!  I can only imagine that you may be tired of seeing the pictures.  Remember what I've said before, it's a scrapbook for me, people. This was senior night at our school. Makena got to start, which is becoming pretty regular these days. She played a great game, even though we lost. I think she ended up with 11 points.   She will be a forced to be reckoned with when she matures a little more as a player.  I can't believe how far she has come just since last year. Way to go #55!!

Ellie's Birthday

So after all of the snow melted we headed to Hot Springs for Ellie's birthday. She was so happy to see all of her friends! Trey and Noah are best buds.   Carlie and Makena played arcade games.   Carl even got into playing the games!   Makena won an animal from the claw game. Trey got one too!! I guess that was our big win in Hot Springs!!   Happy Birthday, Princess Ellie Kate!

The Best Snow Day EVER!

We had our first snow day today!  We knew yesterday that school would be cancelled (which is always a good thing), but the kids were still excited when we woke up and saw the snow :)  In fact, I just knew that everyone would sleep in, but NO, they wanted to see how much it snowed. It wasn't all that much.  They were saying that we could get 4-5 inches, but we ended up with 2 inches or less.  However, this was declared the "best snow day ever" because our Sadie Lou had her puppies early this morning!!  We didn't even know it until we got up. I know this may be a little graphic to some, but here she is cleaning off her newest bundle! She ended up with 7 puppies.  They are precious, and we'll just leave it at that for now. Our holly bush with snow. I snapped this one late this afternoon when things were already starting to melt.  Trey and I went out to try and find a red bird to take a picture of.  Little did I know that he was bringing his pellet

Dribble It, Pass It!

What was that you said, you want to see more basketball pictures of my kids.....I thought so!! We played the same team that kicked our booties right before Christmas break, and guess what?!  They did it again.  At least we were playing at "home" this time so we didn't have to drive all the way to Saline County to get whooped! The kids love playing.  Of course we would prefer to win, but they have a good time.  Carl has pretty much had to take over for the elementary boys coach and Trey is loving that. Love my number 15   And I love my #55   Trey was hustling so hard, he fell on his bottom!   Waiting for that pass!!   Like I said, we didn't win (the little boys almost won) BUT we had a good time and played to the best of our ability!  The team we played is a homeschool team and they are ranked very high in their league. We still have more games, which means we have another chance on another day :)   Much Love, Beth

Oh, Be Careful...

"Oh, be careful little lips what you say, Oh, be careful little lips what you say. For the Father up above is looking down in love. Oh, be carful little lips what you say."   This was always one of my favorite songs as a kid, but it's application certainly pertains to adults as well.  If you have read my blog very much, you know that I rarely write about serious issues.  Most of the time I use my blog as a scrapbook.  However, this post has been in the works for a while.  This is not a "me pointing fingers at you" post.  Believe me, it's so NOT that.  This is an "I've been digging in the Word and am being convicted" kind of post as well as a "Mom, why do they (other Christians) act that way" kind of post.  I'll be the first to admit that I have a BIG problem keeping my mouth shut.  I would like to think that I am getting better, but that may just be wishful thinking.  We all have our struggles.  A few days ago Trey me
