A Fun Get Away

We decided not to go to the beach this year....I know, BOO😣!! Instead we took a little get away to Branson, MO. The kids wanted to do Silver Dollar City, so that is what we did...for 2 days! Talk about walking...we definitley got our steps in. I didn't take a lot of pictures. I just was in a little of a funk, but we still had a fun trip We finally made it! Makena Faith I do love this hottie! If you zoom in, you can see Makena, Trey, and Carl on the Giant Barn Swing I loved this spot the most! This was the second day there. We all rode Wildfire and we have the picture to prove it! Relaxing at the hot tub When we were leaving our hotel, we saw 3 deer! One of them was a spike😊 We had a car load!! Trey at Joe's, ready to eat some crab!! I liked Carl's bib...Butter Me Up😂😂 Fidgit spinners...they make the world go round...well at least they pass time on long car rides😊😊 It was a big change, going North ins

Happy Birthday & Get Well Soon, Pop!

We celebrated my dad's 59th birthday on Sunday. We went to church, went swimming, went back to church, then drove ro Stuttgart to eat Mexican with the family. We did not use 59 candles,  but look at the flames!! He was serenaded my the Mexican waiters who later shoved ice cream up his nose!! The next day Carl, the kids, and I left for a little getaway and my Dad was preparing for knee surgery on Wednesday. I didnt really want to miss it, but I knew it was minor and my Mom said to go because she could handle it. Ha!! FAMOUS LAST WORDS!!!! I called and and talked to them before he went back to have have the surgery and my Mom sent me this picture: He was getting ready. I tallked to her about 20 minutes later and she was freaking out because the doctor came in and told her that he had operated on the wrong knee!!! I really thought she was joking, but it was no joke at all!! Long story short, he got both knees done😒😒😒 He says it was for free but we will see.

The Redeemer: VBS 2017

Well folks we wrapped up our Vacation Bible School this week, and since I am here to blog about it, that means I survived (with Carl's help, of course)! Really ya'll....preschoolers for 2 hours every night for a week....if you work with this age often, God bless you, because I barely made it. Here are some pictures of our group, and a few of other classes. My Dad captured the kiddo's attention by being a little goofy! Carl eating with our group     Carl, riding the kids around on the train. Kynnlea and Collin Maxee and Papa Some of our kitchen ladies. They all did a great job! I was singing "This Little Light" Aunt Becky and Mrs. Ruby with the Junior class. They were learning about Jesus calling his disciples. Bro. Chip and Carl had everything under control Trey holding the American flag Carl was a HUGE help! Hattie even liked him more than me😥😥 Everybody marching in Ellie Kate, Julia, and Addie

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to my favorite two men, my Dad and Carl. They are hard workers and great Christian examples to my kids. I am thankful for them both every day😇😇 Me and my Daddy The Dads and kids Carl got a printer, yes I said a printer that he has been wanting for his lawn business. He is so silly! " He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge."  Proverbs 14:26

No Judgement Here

Most of the time it doesn't bother me when people talk about things I do that may be different than what they do. It is very disheartening though, to hear other Christians treat others like they are freaks because they do not do things the way "normal" people do. Here's the thing, Carl and I are solely responsible to a much Higher Power than anyone on this earth for the way we raise our kids.  That means every aspect.  NO, we will not be perfect. All we can do is try our best and do what we know is right. I was sitting at my mom's pool just last night with a few other ladies, one of whom I attend church with, and the subject came up about cloth diapering and making your own wipes, etc.  The ladies literally bashed this mother for doing these things. I was in awe and said nothing. Well, actually I soon left because I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Maybe this mama just wants to do what she believes is best for her baby.  So what if you can't go

Sundays are Fundays!

After church Sunday night, a few of us went over to my parents house to swim and have pizza :) Ellie Kate and Makena Faith having a nice talk in the pool. Carl, doing his signature back-flip! Summer is the Best!

Everyone knows I love summer.  The beach, pool, warm weather, the smell of sunscreen, sleeping in, and pretty much NO SCHEDULES!  I try to add a few educational things in and we will soon be making a trip to Barnes and Noble and the library to find some new books, but for now, we are working a few things we already have at home. Like dissecting the cows eye! (out in the shop, of course!) Ya'll...I do not care to see the optic nerve, cornea, or any other part of this eye. It really isn't seeing that bothers me so much... The smell seriously makes me want to puke!! We also finally built and activated Trey's volcano, but for some reason I can't get the pictures to load. It is so NOT what it appears to be on the box!!  I was expecting some kind of big eruption...that didn't happen. It sort of spewed out.  Disappointing to say the least! It wouldn't be summer without swimming in the pool...almost EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!!  Trey looked like
