Happy Birthday, Pop!

Today is my Dad's actual birthday, but he is on a business trip, so we celebrated at our house on Saturday with a cook out!  Here are a few pictures: The kids made Pop open all of his cards One for each kid! Trey thought his was the best.  It had something to do with a gassy dog named Buford! Check out Pop in his new hat we got him for Father's Day :) He took coolness to a whole new level with this hat! He was so happy that my Mom finally gave in and got him one :) Happy 54th Birthday, Pop!!  We love you bunches :) Beth

Closing Program at VBS

Trey and Maxee before the program started Makena, Bryer, and Sarah held the flags and Bible Trey's class.  There were more kids than that in his class all week, but only four showed up for the program. Makena's class Makena and Sarah Carlie's class.  Bailey, Jaxon, Carlie, and Bonnie The Choir singing "Jesus and Me" and "Joy" They did such a good job singing all week.  As a general rule, you never know how they are going to do...sometimes they sing, sometimes they're too cool.  This must have been a good week for them :) Silly Boy Nothing like red punch at 8:30 at night! It was a great week at VBS, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy that it's over!  There were older people at church this week that were talking about when we used to do two week Bible Schools---YIKES!   Oh, and about the blurry pictures at the beginning of this post:  Carl is a great dad and fixer-upper, but a terrible phot

More Swimming and VBS Night 1

Carlie and Ellie Kate Makena and Elijah Elijah loved it because Trey was getting on the back of the boat to be his motor :) T-Rey Kena Faith Ok, can you believe that is Carlie?!  When did she grow up?! She and Makena always argue over who is going to take care of EK.  Carlie is so bossy that she usually ends up with her! Maxee Parker came to swim with us too! After our fun afternoon of swimming we had our first night of Vacation Bible School at our church.  This year the theme is trains and and it's called "Sonlight Express".  I'm going to try and get a few more pictures of the decorations tomorrow because all I managed to get tonight was the train that Carl pulled the kids around on!  Of course, it was a hit :) Carl was all the kids favorite adult! Noah, Lola Kate, and Makena Another group of riders! Maxee and Hadlee shared car :) It was a fun first night and I can't wait to see what tomorrow night has in

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers's Day!!!  I happen to think that I have some pretty great men in my life.  First of all, my Carl.  He is such a good Daddy.  He's active all the kids lives, always wanting to teach them things like hunting, fishing, growing a garden, etc.  He also teaches them to work hard.  He is seriously one of the hardest workers I know, and he rarely complains about it.  Of course he plays with them too!  Whether it be riding 4wheelers, playing ball, jumping on the trampoline (oh, yes, he does!), take them swimming, he is always eager to play with them.  He is also very helpful to me!  Starting when Carlie was born, he could change a diaper or fix a bottle in his sleep (Carlie never slept!), he can also fix girls hair as good or better than I can!  I guess all those years of brushing and braiding horse hair taught him a few things :)   He can build and fix whatever he wants....which is always helpful ;)  He is the best and I love him SO much! Makena took this one tod

A Little Get Away

This past week we took us a little mini-vacay to Branson.  We were only gone for 4 days, but we had a great time.  Of course it is always good to be back home :)  My camera was messed up for the whole trip, so all I have to post are phone pics :(  The Buffalo National River, Silver Hill, AR T found The General Lee Had to throw this one in too! Carlie at Old Chicago at Branson Landing The kids were patiently waiting on the fire and water show to start The kids on the swinging bridge at SDC Trey loved the train ride....because we got held-up! Silver Dollar City kicked his booty! Ready for the beach. Table Rock Lake is so pretty :) Trey found a cute little (stuffed) raccoon that he just had to have a picture with.  He was all about the "mamarazzi" at Bass Pro in Springfield! He looks so small! By the fish tank at Bass Pro We had a great time, and maybe later when I have more time, I'll elaborate!  We also got to go to a b
