January Favorites

Praise the Lord it is finally January 31st (insert me doing a happy dance). There should definitely be a song about how long it seems to be every. year. I mean we already have "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and "Long December", why not Everlasting January or something like that?!  Ok, so I've rambled enough. Here are some of my favorites for the month of January! First and foremost are my new cowboy boots that I received as a Christmas present. I love them!  Next are my fringe booties. For some reason I have been on a southwest/cowboy kick lately! I have also been loving this puffy jacket in the color misty pink. It is very cozy and super cute! Ok, let's talk beauty products for a few... This eye cream by Clinique is the bomb!  Don't laugh too hard at my "old lady" cream! I like this because unlike so many other moisturizers, it isn't oily! Just because my skin may get dry in the winter doesn't mean I

Weekly Rewind

Trey was working hard on his History Quiz Carlie chose to work in the floor on this day. She is doing Business Math here and was checking on her stocks for a project they are doing. I was grading papers when I received this message from Makena who was watching Spanish in her room. Gotta love her humor! We made pinecone bird feeders in our Discovery classes Wednesday night. Skylare and Gauge were my two students for the night Trey went for a ride on his hoverboard and I walked behind him. We ended up going to the church and back which is close to a half mile. I was surprised that his battery stayed up that long.  It started beeping just as we were headed into the driveway. We are thankful for pretty spring-like days like this! We went to eat at Dondie's White River Princess on Friday evening with my parents and grandparents.  Trey was all smiles because he was getting to eat crawfish.  Grammy and Papa were sharing ice cream! Carlie

Brrr, It's Cold!

Well we survived last week's frozen tundra and man was it COLD! Everyone knows how I feel about all of that...😑😑 We did have fun snow tubing, making snow angels, and taking pictures. Take a look at the fun we had! The Five Mungers having a snow day! I was in T's treehouse when I took this picture of him. He was pulling the sled around...boys are so weird and I gave up trying to figure out what they are thinking long ago! Carl pulling Trey on the little sled...he is obviously way too big for it! So peaceful. The river hill. There was no way we were riding down there! Sadie was not impressed with the cold stuff Carlie's snow angel...of course Trey made her angel have devil horns after she got up! Carl let Trey pull him on the tube. He almost ran him into the side of the barn and crash into the bonfire wood pile! Makena and Carlie Carlie and I Trey was having a blast! Carlie and Ollie. This cat is seriously my

Let's Party!

Well my niece  and nephews came down Friday night and the kids have had such a good time hanging out and just being together. We celebrated Ellie's Birthday this weekend because we won't get to see her on her actual birthday. This is Ellie's BFF from Stuttgart, Destiny.  There were several kids at her party but really she would have been fine if only Destiny showed up! Some of the kids. People were everywhere. The boys didn't want to be with the girls so they were wherever the girls weren't! For about the 4th year in a row, Ellie had a cowgirl themed party. Papa and Carl Blow out those candles, sweet girl! I hope all of your wishes come true😊 Cowboy Eli! The Birthday Princess got her present from Nanny and Pop on Friday. Of course she needed a hover board like boys! Carlie tried out EK's skates that light up. All of the girl grandkids.  They were happy to be together again. Because I'm proba
