Life Update

I just realized that there are a couple of things that I never updated you guys on. Number one is Makena. When we went to the doctor *almost a month ago* she got released...kind of. He said take it easy for another couple of months and really until the end of the year for good measure. I really applaud him for encouraging her to be super cautious this go round. He was happy that she was doing so well this time but also stressed that she really does not need to have to have another surgery any time soon (hopefully ever). I still catch myself telling her to "BE CAREFUL!", and she keeps giving me "the look" that she is so famous for! She is still eager to enter the workforce. We are just praying and waiting for the job that will be a good fit for her. Carlie...Carlie is just doing her thing. She usually stays in Little Rock with her friend Monday thru Wednesday or sometimes Thursday, then comes home and works Friday and Saturday. She is teaching Sunday School (pr

Happy Birthday, Trey!

How in the world can my baby be 14?! I mean, it seems like it was just yesterday that we brought him home! Oh how I wish I could go back to that time and hold those babies tight and tell that tired, over-whelmed mama that it's all going to be okay! Trey is one of the funniest kids I know. He knows how to enjoy life! He is also an avid deer hunter, duck hunter, and fisherman. He is kind hearted and helpful (most of the time). When I found out he was a boy I was a little scared. This was new, uncharted territory for us. We were used to baby dolls and bows and here was this baby boy who practically came out of the womb making car and truck noises! He was the first boy born on my mom's side of the family in 24 years and is the only boy to carry on the Munger name. We think he's pretty special! Happy Birthday,  Trey Landon. We love you to the moon and back for infinity and beyond! He ended up have his birthday party on the Saturday before his actual

It's That Time Again!

Happy Labor Day friends! If you were blessed to have the day off be thankful for that break, if you were grinding it out like every other work day, be thankful for that as well. We are just plain thankful around here! It's that time of year again when Carl goes misssing. Well, not really misssing, he's just not around as much. That can only mean one thing, it's harvest time. Carl contributed these awesome pictures for the blog today. Isn't he just the sweetest?! While he's working at the farm, we are here at home, having a regular school day. Makena and Trey had tests at the end of last week and Makena had one today. I hate to lose steam when we are on a roll! We will be taking off tomorrow because Makena has an appointment with her neurosurgeon in Little Rock. We are hoping she will officially be released. I don't see any reason why she wouldn't be, but we are just trying to be extra careful this go around. She is really eager to find

Birthdays and Labor Day Weekend

We celebrated my grandfather, Papa's, 91st birthday at Dondie's on Thursday.  He loves fried fish! We had to add Grammy in the picture too! I've talked numerous times about how these two fight ALL.THE.TIME. When Carlie asked to take a picture with him, Trey and I were both in shock, but happily obliged (well, I was happy that she asked, Trey was skeptical).  Papa asked for this picture. He loves him some Trey! We had an all-out mini photo sesh on the deck of the boat! I love these three with every fiber of my being. We had such a good time celebrating Papa. It was kind of an impromptu trip so it was only me and my kids, my mom and dad, and my grandparents. Carl was working that night and since it was the first day to cut rice, he didn't feel like he could ask off early. Of course he beat us home because they had a break down with the combine.  Carlie drove us and man was that a trip! Let's just say we were glad to get home. Her
