A Birthday, Church Camp, & Fishing

Happy Birthday to ME!! Yesterday was actually my birthday, but we pretty much celebrated all weekend long.  We went to eat Chinese on Friday night and then we went to Little Rock on Saturday, and my parents took us out after church for lunch.  I had a great birthday :) Our church camp crew with Carlie, Trey, George Strait (white dog), and Remy (black dog)! This girl was super excited to leave for camp :) I will miss her so much, but I had to let her go...it's just a part of growing up that I will have to get used to, I guess. My sista and the kids came to see me today and bring me my birthday present! The kids enjoyed my cake too :) Jamie made me these Razorback pillows to go on my (very dirty) Razorback bench! I love them! We finished the day up by trying to catch some fish.  We didn't get any, but we had a good time anyway.  I was proudly sportin' my Mama Bear shirt from Amazon.  It fits my personality perfectly!! I

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! This is the first time I have linked up with the girls for Friday Favorites ! Have I mentioned my love for pigs?!  Well my mom gave me this cute little pig for an (early) birthday present.  Isn't he the cutest?! Another favorite of mine is listening to my kiddos play their instruments. Trey found Woody's hat and put it on Chuck Bass!! He walked him around saying, "This town ain't big enough for the two of us"!! Makena with her ukulele how cute is this top?  This picture doesn't really do it justice.  I thought it could be a cute fall transition piece with a cute denim jacket and cowboy boots?  There are many options. I love that the bond between these two sisters is getting stronger.  They are polar opposites in almost every way, but they are starting to figure out that they can be each others best friend :) Even though this is a terrible picture, he is my favorite.  I know we tr

Thursday Randomness

Today we got our new puppy, Charles Bartholomew Bass, AKA Chuck Bass. Yes, he is absolutely adorable and yes, he is named after Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl! Carlie is a HUGE fan :) We also took the boat out on her first official family river trip! Carl has worked hard on getting this thing running, and mostly without my support. Honestly I never thought he would get it in the water, and when he finally did, I never thought we'd get the seats put in and covered, but he did.  Basically I just saw it as a huge money pit.  Maybe I was wrong (shhh, don't tell him I said that!). He was so happy that we were all out there with him. My parents and Carlie tagged along in the fishing boat in case we needed help! Trey was pretty worried about riding in the boat at first.  When he realized that we weren't going to blow up and die, he was having a blast!  Chuck Bass may be a little worried!! Me and Makena Faith.  We were going dow

Back to Reality

Whew, it sure is hard to come home after a nice relaxing vacation! We have been spending our days working (Carl), LAUNDRY (we came home with a TON of dirty clothes), running errands, swimming, and just trying to stay cool...not to mention getting ready to send my girls off to Teen Camp with our church next week (I'm not even going to go into my feelings about that right now). Here are a few pictures documenting our back to reality status! Carlie and my dad chillin' Makena is one of the silliest girls I know! She was having a good ole time shopping!! We had a few visitors at the pool yesterday. Trey and Carl went ditch fishing down the road from our house. Much to their surprise he caught a few bream! His hair cracks me up in this picture! I'm not sure why he didn't have on a hat (he always wears a hat), but he's got a bad case of 4wheeler hair!! This is pretty much how we feel about it all! We are slowly getting

Show and Tell Tuesdays: Home Tour Edition

Today I am linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals for Show and Tell Tuesdays.  Today as you probably already know is the house tours edition.  Here is our home, hope you enjoy!! Welcome to our humble abode!   This is Sadie Girl.  Our mail lady told me today that while we were gone last week she was here guarding the house for us :)  This is her spot! When the mosquitos aren't too bad, we like to do a little front porch sittin'. Carl made this bench for me last year :)  Woo Pig Sooie!! Nothing says,"Come on in" like a pineapple! Here is the main room in our house.  I guess you would call it the family room.  It is one of my favorite places in our home. I cannot leave out the piano!  Trey loves to play the piano.  And that window unit there, just ignore that.  Yes, it is ghetto, but it keeps us cool! My most favorite spot in the house is our dining area.  I love it for two reasons: it is RED and

All Good Things Must End

Goodbye Gulf Shores!! We made lots of memories that will last a lifetime! My love.  I am very thankful for our family vacations.  I think sometimes he wishes he would have just stayed home (three spoiled, hormonal women) but he does it anyway.  He works hard for us everyday and we don't always act like we appreciate him, but we do :)  My three little beach bums! Our attempt at a selfie stick family pic....I'm not even going get into all of that! No more pictures, please!  We were packed like sardines in our car coming home!! So thankful to be back home....not so thankful for the mosquitos, but glad to be back to normal. Much Love, Beth
