More Beachin' Pics!

Me, Trey, and Makena....I'm not sure where Carlie was
There she is!
Just some dude, cruisin' in his car with his homie
Trey caught some weird fish
Then he caught one of those little devil jellyfish!
Carl, Makena, and Trey were playing ball
Me and my girls, just chillaxin' on the beach!
Carl and Trey Landon
We dared Trey to get out there and show the girls how to hula hoop. He got up out of his chair and marched out to the sand and showed them how it is done!! They all looked at him like he was an alien, but he didn't care.  I got it on video and it is hilarious...oh, and "Stayin' Alive" by the BeeGees was playing, lol  We love Lulu's!!
While the girls were complaining that it was hot and they were hungry, Trey and I stood in line so he could climb the "Mountain of Youth".
He got this far when they all had to come down because of thunder and lightening!
Relaxing in his chair, playing in the sand.
This is the only way Carlie would go out past her knees in the water....Carl had to hold on to her body board, and most of the time she had a death grip on his arm.  She has never had this problem before.  I think she was freaked by all of the little fish swimming around her. And she was the one wanting to watch "The Shallows" while we were there.  Yeah, right!!
This was one of the biggest things that happened on vacation this year.  I let Makena get her cartilage pierced.  A lot of people might think that it's a big deal.  I don't.  It's a piercing....on the ear....what difference does the location on the ear make?!  She was super excited!
The girl that did the piercing was so nice and made her feel very relaxed.
If you ever need a piercing done in lower Alabama, go to Island Girl Piercing.  They Rock!!

Very sad that our time at the beach is coming to an end, but also very excited to be at home in my house! Tomorrow is the day :(

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
