Tree Houses, Mummies, & Trunk or Treat!

T-Man in his (soon to be) treehouse! Mummy Dogs Rock! A crazy cat lady, a ninja, and a precious little kitty! Happy Halloween!! Carl and Mrs. Ruby at Trunk or Treat Trey was trick or treating Mrs. Gelene Makena Faith was a little skeptical about me taking her picture. Papa says, "Happy Harvest"! Sweet Leah (the puppy) made her rounds to visit everyone too! My skeleton man! How about this one?! My three babies at their first Halloweens...well, Trey's was his second because he was a little over a month old and Nanny insisted on keeping him while we took the girls, and let's face it, I was probably pretty tired, so I let her!!  Carlie Erin was an Indian princess, Makena Faith was a grumpy pumpkin (she hated the hat), and Trey was a cute little lion. We had a pretty busy weekend/beginning of the week around here! Trey and Carl spent most of the afternoon on Saturday building a treehouse.  It

Weekend Recap

It was another chilly morning at the soccer field Soccer Saturdays are almost over :( We scooted back so the building would block the wind a little bit. We had a housewarming at our church for my cousin Shane. He's the one in the black shirt. I love this cake!  It was pretty tasty too! I couldn't resist a picture of this precious Peyton :) Carl and Trey were busy planting food plots this weekend. Trey loves that he is finally able to help (and by help I mean drive the tractor!). We had a pretty laid back weekend.  Carl is finally done with the 2016 Harvest!!  We couldn't be more happy around here.  We don't have to worry about him getting home at 8:00 p.m. or later every night or filling in our Saturdays without him.....I may be the most excited :) Soccer Saturdays are almost over.  Trey has three more games over the next two weeks and that will be it!  I am a little sad to see it go.  We are still

The Jacks Are Here!

The Jacks are back!!  Way back when Carlie was little (probably about 2) she would call a jack-o-lantern a "Jack".  She would say every night, "I want to go light up Jack".  It was so cute.  Of course they don't call them that anymore, but I will always remember her saying that.  I am proud of the way that the Jacks turned out :) Much Love, Beth

Surgery Day

Three a.m. comes really early in the morning. This was around six a.m.  She was bored and really hungry!! This was post surgery. She was a little better here because the pain meds had started working! Pain medicine is a wonderful thing when used correctly.  All smiles here. Monday was surgery day!  We have been waiting on this since the end of June!!  I was really dreading it.  There is just something about putting your kids "under" that makes you a little uneasy.  We had a small army of prayer warriors praying for her, so we knew it would all be okay.  I would have taken a picture of the before and after, but it was in a location that would have been embarrassing for her, so I'll just tell you about it.  The birthmark on her abdomen was about 7 1/2 to 8 inches long across the bottom of her abdomen.  We had originally thought that it would be removed in two surgeries, but that was not the case.  They went ahead and took it all off.  She has an

The One With Random Pictures

My three monkeys Trey likes to ride his bike down the road and pick me flowers :) Man, am I feeling this more and more lately.  I really thought it would be easy.  I have learned a valuable lesson:  It isn't easy and I.HATE.EXAMS! I do love me some SnapChat though! And Halloween has always been one of my favorites! Carlie picked this up for me while she was out shopping with Nanny one day. I do have some of the most thoughtful kids :) We had a bonfire one night at my parents house when my sister and her family were down.  Our fire was a little large to say the least! Makena and Ellie Kate were getting eaten up by mosquitos!

Farm Safety Day 2016

Trey, Atticus, and Braden We learned about being safe with electricity. They got to wear some of the gloves that linemen use when fixing and working with electricity. We also learned about boating safety. Trey got to be a demonstrator :) He liked the attention. This was our gun safety instructor. He was a little bit of a grouch.  Party pooper!! Here we learned about germs.  It was fittingly named, "Germ City". Trey and the other kids learning about tractor and lawnmower safety. Can you see Bubba in the background?  The main lesson here was "Don't be a Bubba"!  Pay attention when you're around machinery. Here was our fire safety instructor.  I didn't get to watch it because they piled the whole group in that little trailer for the lecture and then filled it with "smoke" and let them climb out of the back window. I guess you would call this class animal safety.
