Pre-Easter Festivities

We began our pre-Easter festivities on Wednesday by making Resurrection Rolls with our Discovery classes. I took a few pictures of Trey with my class. He was the only one in his class so we combined. My class and Trey Carlie made a slight mess! Makena and Trey, dying their eggs When you can't find their Easter Baskets, Easter bags must do! Because we knew the weather was going to be yucky, we did Easter pictures on Saturday! My three loves.  By my new fence 😊😊 Makena and T-money He picked that outfit at all by himself, from various stores! Carlie Erin Makena Faith She was in the mood for pictures, so I rolled with It! My pretty country-girl! So, that is pretty much all we did to prepare for Easter. I was sick towards the end of the week and really pushed myself to accomplish what we did. It has been a tradition in our house for years to do our baskets the night before Easter. It makes sense to me to

Spring Breakin'

Well we finally made it to Spring Break! We have been front seat passengers on the struggle bus since January! I have said it before and it really is true, winter is terrible for me. It just depresses me to the point that even the smallest tasks are difficult. We didn't do a ton of fun exciting things this week but we did take off for the whole week. Like I said, it was much needed. The kids and I headed to the zoo in Little Rock on Monday. It rained that morning so we left around lunch time. I thought that maybe since it rained it wouldn't be as crowded...I was wrong. We drove through a huge parking lot before giving up and parking in the grass/dirt/mud. Whatever, we finally got parked. It was a beautiful afternoon. Not a cloud in the sky. Almost all of the animals were out enjoying the sunshine as well. Glad to be outside in the sunshine Makena's people😂 Turtles on a log They are my favorites! Funny Monkey The king of the jungle We n

Look Who's Driving!

Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, Makena finally got to take the road test part of the driving test😊 We have said we were taking this test literally every Monday since New Years Day and almost every Monday one of three things happened: 1. Rain 2. Holiday 3. Sickness We caught a nice day with a super nice driving instructor and passed the first time. Of course she rubbed it in big sisters face just a tad (it took Carlie 3 times to pass😂😂). Anyway, that part is over and now we are just waiting until the summer to try and find her a car. I may have to start me a GoFundMe page for donations😣😣 I am super proud of her and I love to see her smile 😁 It's hard to believe that she will be 16 in July. She was always my laid back, go with the flow sweet baby. She is still sweet and easy going but definitely not my baby anymore. She has dreams of going (far) away to college. She loves the chance to get away from home (with or without me). While I would never want to hold her back from

Busy Beginning

We had a super busy beginning to the month of March! We make plans months in advance to attend the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show in Memphis, TN every year. The past two years have been the only years we haven't stayed in a hotel during the show since the girls were 1 and 3. We enjoy picking up free goodies from the exhibitors and we always run in to people we know. Off we go! Trey found a really big tractor to get in Carl and Trey Trey was being a goofball and said, "this is almost like trick-or-treating" (getting goodies). We went to eat at the Arcade Restaurant. It is one of the oldest in Memphis.  These two are a MESS! Makena Faith Me and Carlie Miss Carlie My sweet girls in the bright sun! On Saturday we loaded up and went to a gender reveal for Carl's niece, Leslie. Trey, Makena, Carlie, and Carl's sister, Jeannie.  We were all excited that she is having a BOY!! It does make me feel old
