More Stuff

Well overall I think the VBS closing program went pretty well.  Of course, the little kids didn't sing as well as they did earlier in the week for me, but the older ones did awesome!  I love it when a plan comes together! However, the plan for the many pictures went down the drain when I realized that Carl had to do the sound system!  Oh well, I did get a few: Jeremy Dale, Bella, and Trey This, sadly, is the only picture I got that night!  I feel like a terrible parent, but I can't be everywhere, doing everything at one time! Kids, just know that you did a great job :)   Megan, Bonnie, and Carlie You know how much pre-teen girls like to take pics of themselves?  Well, I'm actually glad they did so I could swipe these!  These were taken after the VBS Closing Program. I have no idea! Carlie, Makena, Megan, and Bonnie. Four pretty girls!   Ready, Set,.... JUMP!   The girls :)   Carlie   Pop ad Trey Such a silly boy

Flowers, VBS, and Swimming

I had to throw in this picture of my pretty flowers. It took them so long to finally bloom this year.  Maxee, Noah, Trey, and Blaine eating their hot dogs during our first night of VBS.   Bonnie, Carlie, Megan, Makena, and Spencer were ready to eat!   Cailyn, Anna Grace, Carlie, Makena, Bonnie, Ellie Kate, and Noah were trying to make a giant train. Having fun in the pool with friends and cousins   Makena had Ellie Kate and Eli on her back Trey is too cool for this pool!   Noah was towing the island Hadlee, Maxee, and Carlie   It was Hadlee's turn in the rocket ship Maxee was showing Trey her doggie purse.  She named it princess....He didn't care!   We've been having a fun time this week playing with our cousins and friends at the pool.  Every afternoon we go and spend a couple of hours then come home and get ready for VBS!  That has been fun too!  The closing program is tonight and I'm really glad that it&

A Roadtrip, Snowcones, and A Smelly Friend

Makena and Trey were making the best out of a long trip Me and my pretty girl-in-the-middle.  Carlie wasn't ever around us :(   We stopped by our favorite place before going back home to get a snow cone. Carl got them mediums and my car it still sticky!  The smelly little friend we found.  He was with his mother, but when we let Sam out, the mother ran off and left the baby, but not before it sprayed Sam!  It didn't get him really good, but he did smell pretty bad for a few days. Saturday we went to Russellville to go to my nephew Noah's Kindergarten Graduation.  He is home schooled and just finished his work, so they had a little ceremony and reception for him then all of the kids played outside on the bouncy slide.  Makena didn't want to play on it, but Carlie and Trey did.  Too bad I didn't get one single picture of them on it.  Makena was just glued to my side that day for some reason.  I think that sometimes she gets a little insecure whe

A Lazy Week

This has probably been one of the most laid-back (my kids would say boring) weeks we've had this summer break! We got some much needed rain Monday afternoon.  My plants really needed it!   Makena has been learning "Cups".  It's been driving me nuts, but it has given her something to do! She wouldn't let me video her, but she's gotten pretty good and can even do it with two cups. Here, she is teaching Trey.  Let's just say that his attention span didn't allow him to learn much :)   We've made fun, yummy ice cream treats!   I'm not sure what was going on here, but they were playing together and being good, so I didn't disturb them! I've worked a little on the music for VBS next week. I'm not really musically inclined, but nobody else will take the job.. go figure! And if you're wondering where in the world Carlie is, nine times out of ten, she is doing her hair!  Or reading.  She's been r

Random Things of the Week

Makena with "her" kitty at Grammy's. We actually own none of the kittens and there are about 6 kids who have claim to 3 kittens!! Maxee and Trey Trey has always just tolerated her, but now it's even harder than ever because she is just sassy and gets on his nerves. Cousin love!   He has really gotten into his pogo stick lately.  He did it for 200 times the other day! It made me tired just watching him!   Carlie was gathering up all the dive stuff at the pool.  Pop is hiring her to help out at keeping the pool area picked up.  This lasted for a couple of days.  I've been picking up since.  Should I give him a bill for my services?!   He told me to take his picture while he was sucking in!   Ladder ball in the backyard   Photo Bombed by Makena Faith!   I'm not even sure how to caption this one!     That was pretty much our whole week in pictures.  Not a real exciting week, but overall, it was pretty f

Driving Lessons At The Farm

Since Carl had to work late Saturday (I call 6:30 on a Sat. late!), he decided he would be the Super Dad he is, and ask the girls if they wanted to go drive at the farm.  I promise he barely got it out of his mouth and they were jumping up and down with excitement!  So we loaded Sam up (he needed some exercise) and headed out.  Trey said that he was going to get out when they started driving, but he didn't.  They both did really well, and I felt a lot better being out in the back 40 than practicing going down the road!  They both have plenty of time to practice, I mean, Carlie won't even be 13 until November, so she still has another year before she can get her permit.  I just want her to be ready!  They agreed to let me take one picture of them while they were driving to "put on the blog"!  It's so funny that they think that way :)  Trey and I were banned to the backseat while the driving lessons were going on, which was fine with me!  She was really concent
