A Lazy Week

This has probably been one of the most laid-back (my kids would say boring) weeks we've had this summer break!
We got some much needed rain Monday afternoon.  My plants really needed it!

Makena has been learning "Cups".  It's been driving me nuts, but it has given her something to do!
She wouldn't let me video her, but she's gotten pretty good and can even do it with two cups.
Here, she is teaching Trey.  Let's just say that his attention span didn't allow him to learn much :)

We've made fun, yummy ice cream treats!

I'm not sure what was going on here, but they were playing together and being good, so I didn't disturb them!
I've worked a little on the music for VBS next week.
I'm not really musically inclined, but nobody else will take the job..
go figure!

And if you're wondering where in the world Carlie is, nine times out of ten, she is doing her hair!  Or reading.  She's been reading a lot too....but mostly her hair :)

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
