We Love Us Some Basketball!!

Coach Jennifer with some of the girls before the game. Mustang Sally with Trey and Halle Beth Carlie with her best friend Heather...they've been together since 3 year old preschool. Skyler, Heather, Madeline, Makena, and Trey had to stick his little head in there.  Silly boy!! Giving the boys a pep-talk The coaches Basketball season is in full swing, and even though my girls are just playing pee-wee ball for our school, they are having a blast!!  Tonight we got to play right before the varsity boys and girls.  It's so much fun to watch them out there, and to see their improvement from game to game.  They should have a really good pee-wee team next year.  Some days Makena says she doesn't want to play next year, and some days it's all she talks about...who knows!!   Carl has been helping Bro. Inzer with the pee-wee boy team and has really enjoyed it.  They played their first game tonight and lost, but only by 5 points.  Carl was really surprised and proud of them,

Praise God From Who All Blessings Flow....

Yesterday started out as just your typical, average, ordinary day.  The girls went to school, Trey and I cleaned house, played, and then he stayed with my Mom while I went to pick the girls up.  Nothing too exciting.  So after running a few errands I picked up Carlie and Makena.  Makena was quiet then all of a sudden she burst into tears and said that she knew she needed to ask Jesus to come into her heart.  This was not a huge surprise to me because  I overheard her and Carlie talking about it a few weeks ago, and I heard Makena tell Carlie that she would do it when she was ready!  I've also been watching her in church.  That being said, I still needed to know for sure that she knew, so I questioned her all the way home and finally she said that if Jesus came back right then, that she would not go to heaven.  That is hard to hear.  She didn't want to talk to our preacher (she's really shy) and not that she needed to, but she talked to our pastor's wife and then prayed

Happy Birthday, Ellie Kate

Makena watching Ellie Kate with her cupcake smash cake EK loved Trey singing Happy Birthday to her Makena with a baby...is anyone surprised?!? She finally got into it EK and Jamie going to change...she even had cake in her eyelashes! Trey playing the V Smile he gave to Noah (in the background you can see Makena found another baby!) Carlie with Ellie Kate Today we went to Morrilton to wish my sweet little niece, Ellie Kate a happy first birthday!!  I can't believe it has already been a year (and she's not even my kid!).  I think the birthday party was a complete success!  Noah was so funny because he wants nothing to do with the color pink, and of course her cake was a pink cupcake, so he refused to eat it!!  He didn't much like the pink forks either!  I was happy to get my girls back, I know it was just for a night, but it's way too quiet around here without them.  The ride home wasn't so quiet, but it's a good kind of noise...the sound of my three little

A Few Pics and An Update

Makena, Madeline, and Tilly (Tilly was trying to get her fingers right for "peace"!!) This is Trey's new favorite toy.  The other morning he woke up and with his eyes barely open, said "Where's my Pirate ship?" I think he dreams about it! Carlie wrapped Happy up in her blanket and she fell asleep :) I'll admit that this is not a new picture, but it was the only one I had of Carlie.  We haven't had a lot of exciting stuff going on lately.  The girls have been playing ball, Carl just went back to work this week, Trey has been playing his little heart out (everyday),  I've been trying to keep the house clean in the midst of more winter weather(along with helping out at school), my Papa got put in the hospital on Monday afternoon but thankfully got to come home Thursday before the snow got here, and tomorrow we are going to Morrilton for Ellie Kate's birthday!!  We didn't have school today because we were supposed to have Parent Teacher Co

In 9 Months......

It hit me like a ton of bricks the other night that in 9 short months my baby will start Kindergarten!!  He got up in the middle of the night to get in our bed, which he hardly does, and when I asked him why he was in my room he said, "I just wanted to sleep with you" (in his sweetest little voice).  Of course I said yes, and as he was lying there beside me, breathing his morning breath in my face, I started thinking of how he is going to start school soon and that made me really sad.  The process of letting go, even if it's just a little, is about to begin. I told him the other day that he was going to have to start going to bed without his TV on because when he started school he couldn't do that and he turned to me and said, "It's not tomorrow, Mom!"  Anyway, I got this idea from Amanda at Baby Bangs, only mine is an abbreviated interview with my T: 1.  What is something that Mommy always says to you?       T:  Clean my room. 2.  What makes Mommy

Snow Day Part 1

This was taken just a couple of hours after it started on Sunday Carlie and Trey were the first to go out in the snow today. On Fort Munger Makena finally made it out, and had a blast sliding down the slide into the snow Here comes T Carlie and Happy warming up in the shop Carlie was sledding behind the 4wheeler This is our "new" redneck sled made out of a barrel Makena in the new sled Me and Makena on the 4wheeler

GO HOGS GO!!!

Carl with the kids and Happy....notice the dog biting Makena's finger :) Using our Razorback popcorn bowl Ready for some FOOTBALL!! Even though we lost, we still love our hogs ;)

Lately...

Makena and Carlie tried out the pottery wheel.... it wasn't as easy as it looked!  They had fun doing it though :) Carl grilled out some yummy steaks Saturday night and we had corn, shrimp, baked potatoes, and salad. It was really good! Also on Saturday Trey helped make the bonfire... not really news worthy, but he was proud of it. Sunday night after church we met some friends at a local restaurant...the kids had fun seeing each other.  They have two girls, so poor Trey is still the only boy!

Happy New Year!

Carlie and Trey were testing out their blowers Makena, Luke, and Trey were settling in to watch a movie Trey Happy New Year!! We didn't have any big plans for New Year's Eve this year.  A few of us grilled out over at my Mom and Dad's and then played cards for a while.  Carl and I had all the kids bathed and in bed by 10:00 and we rang in the New Year in our PJ's on the couch :)  We're real thrill seakers!!
