A Few Pics and An Update

Makena, Madeline, and Tilly
(Tilly was trying to get her fingers right for "peace"!!)

This is Trey's new favorite toy.  The other morning he woke up
and with his eyes barely open, said "Where's my Pirate ship?"
I think he dreams about it!
Carlie wrapped Happy up in her blanket and she fell asleep :)

I'll admit that this is not a new picture, but it was
the only one I had of Carlie.

We haven't had a lot of exciting stuff going on lately.  The girls have been playing ball, Carl just went back to work this week, Trey has been playing his little heart out (everyday),  I've been trying to keep the house clean in the midst of more winter weather(along with helping out at school), my Papa got put in the hospital on Monday afternoon but thankfully got to come home Thursday before the snow got here, and tomorrow we are going to Morrilton for Ellie Kate's birthday!!
We didn't have school today because we were supposed to have Parent Teacher Conferences, but they got cancelled, so my parents took Carlie and Makena with them to Morrilton.  They were absolutely thrilled to get to stay the night with them.  They love their cousins!  Trey was a little upset that he didn't get to go.  Maybe next time, T :(
I know this post really doesn't have a point, but I just wanted to update.  Maybe tomorrow I'll have pictures of Miss Ellie Kate's cupcake party :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal. Not only is this recipe super easy, it is also a quick meal with a simple ingredients list: Meat • 4 cups Chicken, cooked Produce • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder • 1/2 tsp Onion powder Canned Goods • 1 (10.5 ounce) can Cream of chicken soup Baking & Spices • 1/8 tsp Black pepper • 1/4 tsp Salt Snacks • 1 1/2 sleeves Ritz crackers Dairy • 1/2 cup Butter • 1 cup Sour cream Mix your chicken along with your other ingredients and spices and then pour them all in a baking dish.  Bake on 350 for about 15 minutes and viola! We usually eat ours wi...
