Farm & Gin Show 2010

Trey on the back of a big truck Makena was ready to drive! Trey loved sitting on the combine Carlie the farm girl! Me and Trey sitting at my Dad's booth eating some ice cream--look at that face!! Friday was our day to visit the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show. It was a lot of fun walking around and seeing all the big equipment, getting lots of goodies, and seeing people that we hadn't seen in a while. Trey didn't really remember being there before, so his little eyes just lit up as soon as he saw a big piece of equipment! I guess he's a farm boy at heart:) He can't decide if he wants to be a farmer or a cowboy when he grows up--I hope neither! The girls had fun, but were really ready to go check in the hotel. Makena got into the show a little more than Carlie--I'm thinking that one day the boys will go to the show and the girls will just go shopping:)

Sick Kids and A New Car

This will be a no picture kind of post--an update of sorts:) After our busy week last week this week has seemed to creep by!! Maybe it's because I've had sick kids and have been house bound or maybe because we are looking forward to our trip to Memphis this weekend, whatever it is, JUST HURRY UP AND BE FRIDAY ALREADY!!!! Carlie started getting sick on Saturday night--sore throat, headache, earache, all that good stuff. I kept her home from church because she was running a little fever and I didn't want her to get anyone else sick(wish all parents were this considerate!). By Sunday night Makena started complaining of the same thing so I gave them both medicine to help them(and me) sleep. They both went to school on Monday but were still complaining and now Trey was getting sick, but he was WAY worse. So I took him to the doctor on Tuesday. He has an upper respiratory infection and got antibiotics, a refill on his inhaler, and steroids to use for the next three days! In the m

Happy Birthday, Noah!!

Trey swiped Noah's Diego trike Makena and Ellie Kate Carlie and Elijah Noah opening his talking Rescue Pack Saturday we celebrated my nephew Noah's 3rd birthday with a fun Diego party! He lives and breathes all things Diego. I didn't get to take a lot of pictures because I was busy holding and wrangling babies, but the party was a hit. I think every kid had a good time and Noah got a lot of great gifts. Fun, Fun, Fun:)

Alumni Game 2010

Go Daddy!! Carls backside: he's #4 Carl during warm ups Carlie and Carl in the shoot out Some of the Alumni at the game. This was after the game, so some had already left. What a week! We have had something going on literally every night this week! Yesterday I had to sub for after school care at the girls school. I do like kids, and I didn't really mind doing it, but I'm so glad that it's not my everyday job. The kids were really good but I was counting down the minutes until 5:30! After we were done with that it was time to go help out in the kitchen for the Alumni night activities. We had grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, cheese dip, and lots more. The night got started off the the Lady Mustangs playing the alumni women. They just played a half court game and the alumni lost!! Oh well, there's always next year:) In between the ladies playing and the guys playing they had a few little competitions: a free throw shoot-out, a slam dunk contest, and the pare

Valentine Party

Carl's heart pancakes:) Trey with his balloon bunny Carlie with her butterfly Bryer, Trey, and Avery are ready to play hot potato! Maxee and Carlie Makena with her deer (I thought it was a dog!) OK, so I'm a little behind! I had all three kids home yesterday due to the holiday, so I spent the majority of the day fixing somebodies food, cleaning it up, plus all of my usual duties=no time for blogging. Also, last night we had our Uth group at church and it was the Valentine party(it got cancelled last week due to the bad weather). The kids had so much fun, especially with the balloon animals. We have a couple that just became members at our church who actually went to clown school when they lived in Mississippi, so they were able to make the animals for the kids! I'm already thinking this would be a great idea for a birthday party:)

Happy Birthday, Carl!

Trey and Uncle John Carl with his sisters, niece, one of his nephews and the kids. Carl's best friend, Coy Carl with his parents Having a little fun on the trip up! Well, Carl's birthday was actually last Sunday, but it's better late than never, right ? My mom and dad watched the kids last Saturday night while Carl and I went out to eat. We chose The Butcher Shop in WLR, and it was very good. He was thrilled when he realized that his birthday was on Super Bowl Sunday, and the fact that the Saints were in the SB made his day. He never dreamed they would really win!! Last night we went to Hickory Ridge to celebrate his birthday with his family and a few friends. He knew that we were going there to eat and that his family would be there, but he didn't know about the friends part! We had a good time visiting with everyone, and Trey was ecstatic that he got to see Uncle John! I kept them separated for most of the night, but once they got together there was no stopping th

Snow Day #2

Trey was having fun jumping on the trampoline! We are very glad that Daddy was home to have fun with us! If this looks like an accident ready to happen: it was! Trey on the sled this morning. Notice our snow is melting?! Makena, being pulled by Daddy Carlie was the first on the snow yesterday! We have snow!! I say that like I'm really excited, but really I just want to know is it summer yet?! I am so ready for pool season! We literally spend almost everyday at the pool. I've even already bought a swimsuit and I'm looking for the girls a really cute one! Now back to the snow: we've had more cold weather and snow this year than any that I can remember. This is our 3rd snow day from school-not in a row(we had one day two weeks ago). Yesterday morning Carlie was the first one out of bed and when she saw that there was snow, she got her "snow clothes" on and was ready to go out. Carl got the 4-wheeler and the sled out and we had a blast in the cold, wet snow!

Snow Day #1

Trey's boo boo We were pleasently surprised with snow when we woke up yesterday! That's right, SNOW! I'm not a big fan of the stuff myself, but my kids were thrilled that it wasn't ice! We didn't loose our electricity, yeah!! I spent the early part of the morning cleaning out the closet in the girls room(not fun) and the latter part of the morning taking Trey to the doctor. Poor baby, he was acting crazy and hit his head on the corner of the coffee table! I thought he was fine but then there was blood running down his face and ear, and I got a little worried. We got the bleeding to stop and then we took off to the ER. I called the clinic on the way to town and they said that they could see him there if we didn't want to take him to the ER. They told us that they could put a staple in it, a stitch in it, or glue it (which would be easier for him). We got the glue! He was so good and never cried the whole time we were at the doctor. He was rewarded with a Happy M

Under Construction

The cutest builder EVER!! Carl with a nail gun--I'm a little scared! Busy, Busy, Busy!! Daddy's helper Carl at work Ready for the walls! We are under construction at the Munger house. Well, not our house, but in our barn. Carl mentioned a few weeks ago that he had thought about building a storage room in the barn and tearing our storage shed down completely. It really isn't in the best shape and lately is becoming an eyesore, so I agreed. He bought the lumber last week and got started on it yesterday. He worked about 4 hours on it yesterday and probably a total of 2 1/2 hours on it today. When I walked out there I have to say that I was impressed. We are now ready to put the walls up! Trey and Makena had a blast "helping". It scares me a little bit with them being out there, but Carl assures me that he is watching them, and everything that could be really dangerous isn't in their reach, so I let them have fun!
