Having a little fun on the trip up!
Well, Carl's birthday was actually last Sunday, but it's better late than never, right? My mom and dad watched the kids last Saturday night while Carl and I went out to eat. We chose The Butcher Shop in WLR, and it was very good. He was thrilled when he realized that his birthday was on Super Bowl Sunday, and the fact that the Saints were in the SB made his day. He never dreamed they would really win!! Last night we went to Hickory Ridge to celebrate his birthday with his family and a few friends. He knew that we were going there to eat and that his family would be there, but he didn't know about the friends part! We had a good time visiting with everyone, and Trey was ecstatic that he got to see Uncle John! I kept them separated for most of the night, but once they got together there was no stopping them!! Trey tends to go wild when they get together:) Thank you Mrs. Carolyn (Carl's mom) for making all of this possible. He had a great "30Th" birthday!
