State Bowling Tourney 2018

Chilling in the hotel before heading to the bowling alley  All smiles in J-Town Makena and Trey were ready for doubles Yes, Carlie gets her Daddy to tie her shoes good and tight! Three of the four Stuttgart teams bowled beside each other on Saturday.  Chance and Trey relaxing in the pool Sunday morning came bright and early! Carlie's team wore alien shirts. Trey and Makena's team T-Man came home with three patches! Carl and I were so proud of him. Trey and Makena got 5th place overall in doubles.  That is out of 120 doubles! They did awesome. Keep in mind that this was the first tournament for both of them. On April 28th all five Mungers headed to Jonesboro for the Arkansas State Youth Bowling Tournament. We had fun, made tons of memories, and came home winners! I have had some people ask me how we got into bowling. First of all let me just say that we are not "bowling people". Carl bowled some in high s

Woo Pig!

If you don't know by now my Makena Faith is a HUGE sports fan. Baseball, basketball, football, she loves them all. Of course, the Razorbacks are particularly near and dear to her heart. She can probably tell you most of the players and their stats for the men's teams. That being said, my sweet Dad decided to take Makena to see the Hogs play in Little Rock. Ya'll...she was so happy! It does a mama's heart good to see her babies happy. She didn't mind going alone with Pop! Thankfully they won the game (it was a last minute thing..I do not know much about baseball) and made it home shortly after 11pm. Her phone died but my dad sent lots of pics. I think she talked about that game for 2 weeks! Here are a few of the pictures they sent me: She said she had a great view (see below) She appreciated this view😊😊 Selfie with her Pop Calling those Hogs! She evidently liked this view also🤣🤣 According to her, it was a close and exciting game!

A Homeschool Update

It's official, as of today we have 19 school days left in the 2017-18 school year! We are ready for warmer weather, the pool, the river, and no schedules! This year has been a tough one for many reasons. One of the main reasons is Plane Geometry. I never had to to take Geometry in HS. I think I switched out 3 maths for 3 sciences, anyway..I basically have no idea what they are doing. My girls have always been strong in math and algebra, well Geometry isn't really math. It has been a thorn in my side since day one. It doesn't really help that their video teacher is terrible. We are pulling A's but I don't know what we would have done without Khan Academy or YouTube! We are ready to say "so long" to Mr. Collins. Trey had had a fairly easy year this year. I remember from the girls that 6th grade was pretty easy but 7th is a lot more challenging. He is doing really well in most all of his subjects. He just doesn't always love doing his whole math page. H

Easter Sunday 2018

My three nuggets on the way to church. Trey with his Sunday School class Macy, Makena, Ms. Ruby, and Carlie were ready for Sunday School! Carl leading singing before Sunday School. Doesn't he look handsome?! Not the best picture of us, but the only person available to take this was my nephew, Noah. He did a good job, the angle was just a little wonky.  After church we went to the Community Center to have lunch with my Grammy and family.  My mom brought her dog Toby. He looked so cute in his tie. I told Carlie he was her boyfriend for the day! I got stuck in between the kids end and the adults. Makena broke out the Bubble Glove for entertainment.  They found some old sacks in the attic and had races. Three legged race was interesting to watch. Trey and Maxee Parker 7 of the 9 Great-grandkids Grammy and Papa with the great grandkids It was a pretty fun day. We had great church services (even though it sound
