The Bright Eyed Brunette

Spring Break 2017, also known as Another Staycation 2017. My kids have honestly been pretty chill this Spring Break. They haven't really been bored or begged to go somewhere every five minutes. In fact, they would rather stay home! We did venture out on Monday to the zoo in Little Rock. It was just us, and we had a good time. My trio Makena with her people: the flamingos  Every time we go to the zoo we get a picture in the bird house. It's kinda my thang! Trey the bird man! This is a wild ass...seriously. Trey loves these! And he was pretty cute too 😊 This is very mean looking African bullfrog. Animals are always fun to watch! We took our time and enjoyed the beautiful day we were given! Wow....it's been a while since I last posted. March has been pretty busy and extremely long!! Right before the farm show Makena was sick, the day after we got back from the show Carl got sick then Trey got a touch of "it", then me and Carlie. I really think it was just some sort of cold virus. Thankfully we have averted the flu and stomach virus so far. So by the time that ended it was already the end of the second week of the month. And this weather....ABSOLUTELY NUTS!! It has been in the upper 50's one day and the 80's the next. Of course now everything has a lovely yellow coating on it and I have been living off of Allegra D! Here are some of the things that have been going on around here. First of all there is bowling. I missed one week out of the 10 weeks they bowled. That was also the day of the hamburger supper at church and the day an old friend of mine passed away. That was a lot of info in one sentence. I missed because I was sick and didn't want

We took a field trip to Memphis TN for the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show. The kids had a good time and it was nice to be away from home! She is a lot more comfortable around the other kids...now that we only have two weeks left! T-Man did great this week. He had his own lane and I think that helped. Somehow I always end up riding home with the girls. Carl and Trey had some outside work to do at the church, so they hurried home and the girls and I grabbed some lunch and did a little shopping.
