Friday Favorites

Well, we made it to the end of another week: TGIF!  Today I am linking up with Andrea at  Momfessionals  for my first Friday Favorites.  Spending time with the cousins at the pool. Makena and Elijah posed for me with their 2020 Graduate beach balls. Makena is graduating from high school and Elijah from 5th grade.  This will always be a favorite! You just can't beat fresh eggs! We have gotten a ton of rain here lately so ignore the fact that my garden needs to be tilled, but look at these beautiful squash and cucumber plants. The okra, tomatoes, jalapeƱos, and bell peppers are also growing nicely.  Garden fresh veggies will be here before we know it! Need natural energy and wearable nutrition? Yes please!! This is a game changer. I received this happy mail at the beginning of the week. You better believe it made it on my favorites list!    Let me know if you would like more details. Baby animals. Enough said! Well those are a few of my favorite things this week! Let me know some of

We Remember

Today is the day that we as Americans have set aside to remember those who have given their lives for our nation.  Can we just talk briefly about the importance of history? Why is it important to learn the things of the past? In the 2019-2020 school year Trey's history was U.S. History and I loved watching the videos with him. To be reminded about where we came from; the struggles, hardships, and mistakes that were made to get us where we are today. I know that we all know "freedom doesn't come free", but how often do we think about that? How often do we look at history as just another subject we have to learn in order to graduate? There are so many valuable lessons to be learned and so many mistakes that we shouldn't be making again.  I am very concerned with where we are headed. We are giving up our freedoms left and right. Just a little food for thought. Remember why our forefathers came to the New World.  And now, I am exiting my soap box... So how did we spen

Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a great holiday weekend. Carl was off (with the exception of a few hours from his side gig), the weather was pretty great, and we had some amazing food! I found these new banners in a closet from last year and Trey and I decided to decorate a little. I'm not real sure why the cushion is off of my chair. On Friday night we grilled brats and hot dogs. We went for a Ranger ride around our property. The we cruised out to the farm And Trey drove us to our most favorite undisclosed spot. Saw Sr. 2020 written so we had to take a photo When we made it back home we made s'mores    On Saturday, after Carl and Trey came back from mowing and Carlie got home from work, we hung out at the pool. Makena Faith and her Pop. After our swim we grilled burgers. Caleb came out for a little while. Toby is everyone's favorite dog! On Sunday we went to church and we actually had lunch at our own home! Caleb had to work so it was just the five of us. We had our old stand-by, tacos.  Back

School's Out For Summer!

Hey friends! Hope you are all doing well. Life is rolling right along here on the homestead. First and foremost, we survived and finished the 2019-2020 homeschool year! All exams were taken on Monday because we were all D.O.N.E. This handsome dude will be a high school freshman! He keeps me on my toes buy also keeps us all laughing.  Two days later we were surprised by a representative from OBU admissions. When I say surprised, I mean we were on our way to the pool! I am so proud of her. Home of a Tiger!!  They wrote a note on the back šŸ˜Š Peace, Love, and Chickens I ordered this a while back for my car but my mom made me a single chicken sticker so I decide to put this one on The Hen Bin. Now to get her busy making their name stickers for the dooršŸ”šŸ“ They always make their way to the backyard and shred my flowers..little stinkers! Trey is still busy mowing. Carlie is still puppy sitting for Caleb's parents. We had to drop somethin

Happy Mother's Day!

Love my trio Before church.  My parents got me this!  It was my mom's idea but my dad made it. I had a great Mother's Day! I am thankful for my three kiddos and a husband that appreciate all I do for them.  I am also thankful for my mother. If I had to sum her up in one word it would be selfless. She is a giver and never asks for anything in return. She made sure I knew how much she loved me and that Jesus loved me even more than that! She is also the best Nanny around! Thank you, Mom, for all that you do for us. Much Love, Beth

Motherhood Tips

Hey friends! I'm sure that by now you are all pretty much over this pandemic. As the days and weeks seem to be  running together let's talk a little about professionalizing this thing we call motherhood. Seems pretty appropriate with Mother's Day being this weekend. So for all of my stay-at-home mommas, this is for you! 1.  Get up before your kids get up. I don't always do this but things start more smoothly when I do.  Reading a morning devotion and having a time of prayer are excellent ways to begin the day. It doesn't have to be a long time before everyone wakes up, just enough to get my thoughts and self together. 2. This one kind of goes hand-in-hand with number one: Get dressed and put yourself together (put on a bra!). I always feel better about myself and ready to get going if I get dressed. Sometimes I go ahead and put makeup on, sometimes I don't.  3.   Pick up your house the night before! There are some things I just cannot block out. Af

Weekend Recap: The Crash Edition

Welcome to the weekend recap! It was definitely one for the books!  We started out by having hot dogs and s'mores at my parents with the cousins on Friday evening. We were glad that Carl didn't have to work too late and was able to join us.  Trouble ×3 Me and my favorite sibling, Toby. Caleb was also able to make it. How cute are these two?! Ellie Kate, Toby, and Carlie. The kids and I bought some plants for the garden while we were in town Friday afternoon.  Carl and Trey got them in the ground Friday evening.  So far we have squash, cucumbers, jalapeƱos, bell pepper, and tomatoes.  I plan on at least adding okra, possibly peas and watermelon.  Now on to Saturday.  The day started off like any other. Carl and Carlie both went to work.  The rest of us got busy with daily chores. I decided I would clean Trey's room for him because it was a mess and I was tired of looking at it. He gets a little overwhelmed sometimes and doesn
