Happy Halloween!!

Makena Faith was a little skeptical about me taking her picture.

Papa says, "Happy Harvest"!

Sweet Leah (the puppy) made her rounds to visit everyone too!

My skeleton man!
How about this one?! My three babies at their first Halloweens...well, Trey's was his second because he was a little over a month old and Nanny insisted on keeping him while we took the girls, and let's face it, I was probably pretty tired, so I let her!!  Carlie Erin was an Indian princess, Makena Faith was a grumpy pumpkin (she hated the hat), and Trey was a cute little lion.

We had a pretty busy weekend/beginning of the week around here! Trey and Carl spent most of the afternoon on Saturday building a treehouse.  It isn't finished, but Trey is satisfied that it is finally started.  We have a fort (jungle gym type thing) in our backyard that nobody plays on because they are all getting too big, but Trey wouldn't let Carl tear it down yet.  He is a sentimental kid and hates getting rid of things that remind him of his early years!
On Monday (Halloween) we had school and then we had to get ready for Trunk or Treat at our church.  We had yummy chili at the church (even though it was 80+ degrees out) that night.  Carl was home for lunch and I had already promised the kids that we were having mummy dogs, so we all enjoyed them.  They weren't half bad!!
Trey had a blast at Trunk or Treat.  There were more boys around this year (and it wasn't raining) to play with.
How cute is that bottom picture?! They were all so little and sweet!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
