The Best Snow Day EVER!

We had our first snow day today!  We knew yesterday that school would be cancelled (which is always a good thing), but the kids were still excited when we woke up and saw the snow :)  In fact, I just knew that everyone would sleep in, but NO, they wanted to see how much it snowed. It wasn't all that much.  They were saying that we could get 4-5 inches, but we ended up with 2 inches or less.  However, this was declared the "best snow day ever" because our Sadie Lou had her puppies early this morning!!  We didn't even know it until we got up.

I know this may be a little graphic to some, but here she is cleaning off her newest bundle!

She ended up with 7 puppies.  They are precious, and we'll just leave it at that for now.
Our holly bush with snow.

I snapped this one late this afternoon when things were already starting to melt.  Trey and I went out to try and find a red bird to take a picture of.  Little did I know that he was bringing his pellet gun with him!  The one I did see, he scared away!  At least he didn't shoot it.

I was the next casualty!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
