Well we had made plans before we even got out for Christmas to have a New Years Eve bonfire. Like I said, we were SUPER ready to send 2011 outta here and welcome 2012 with open arms :) So when I bought groceries I go stuff to cook out with: chicken, burgers, potatoes, beans, all that really good stuff. Trey also made sure that I had marshmallows and hot dogs on my list. It was such a beautiful day yesterday too! We spent the majority of the day outside just playing. Everyone got over that nasty cold/cough just in time.
I think we went out about 7 and we knew from the very beginning that the kids wouldn't make it until 12, but it was still worth a try. They only made it until 9:30 and it wasn't even T who wanted to come in, it was Carlie!! I brought them in and gave them a shower and they watched TV for a little while and went to bed before 11. If they don't care, I certainly don't.

Me and Carlie
Me and Makena...
we had it all goin' on...the headlights, hula hoops and the best part of the night....it wasn't cold AT ALL!
Carl got on the trampoline with the kids and they loved it.
Our spread for New Years Day at Grammy and Papa's.
They invited us over to eat after church and man was it good!
It was a good Southern lunch: Hog Jowl, black-eyed peas, cornbread, fried potatoes, chicken strips (for the kids), mac and cheese, ham, and cabbage. It was so yummy!
Happy New Year!!
Beth
