Random Pictures from Christmas Break

Here are a few pictures that we took over the last few days of Christmas Break....
One day I bought facial masks and the girls and I had a spa day.
It was a lot of fun.  We did pedicures, manicures, and our facials :)
They are great girls!  As they are getting older I enjoy spending time with them even more than before.  I want to keep them little, but as I realize how much they are growing up,  I can't wait to see who and what they become.

This picture really isn't related to this post, but my mom is just now getting it to me from Christmas!  This was taken Christmas morning at church.
Trey loves to play the Wii.  On this particular day it was bowling, but usually he likes to fly the airplanes are play the Karts game where you are driving a go-kart with a steering wheel.
I think Oscar finally feels like he's at home with us.  He really enjoys getting to play outside with Sam but he also loves to come inside for a nap.  The kids love him and we all know I love him because he is the easiest going animal I've ever met (and NO pottying in the house!).  The only thing that worries me is that he's not a big eater.  He just nibbles here and there.

Wow, I cannot believe our break is almost over!  The kids are ready to go back (2 of them anyway) and I guess ready or not, I'm going back on Wednesday too!  I think we're all ready to get back in the swing of things: school, basketball, piano lessons (Trey is now taking them too!), Discovery.....and everything else!
When I asked Trey if he was ready to go back to school he said, "Yes, and I'm going to be in the 1st grade now"!  I told him not yet, he still had to learn more Kindergarten things and graduate first :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
