Wow! I can't even believe I just wrote that title! When I first started this blog, I believe he was only 4. The days can seem so long and daunting, but man, are the years short! He has grown into a hard-working, kind-hearted, and maybe a little hard-headed young man, right before my eyes. I am proud of him and can't wait to see what the future holds for him. His birthday fell on a Tuesday this year, and of course, Carl is right in the middle of rice harvest, so we celebrated his birthday with our family on Sunday. All of my babies! My Mom, Dad, and Toby with the birthday boy! Nanny made him a dirt cake (one of his favorite desserts!) I have a rule in my house: everybody has to blow out candles on their actual birthday. I just feel like it is a day worth celebrating!! So while everyone else gave him presents on Sunday, Carl and I waited until his birthday :) I gave him the day off from school, and he decided to work all day $$$ Happy 18th birthday, Trey.
