Seventeen years ago, I was anxiously awaiting the birth of a very special little boy. He was special for many reasons: all babies are special, but he was the boy to carry on our last name, and to top that off, he was the first boy born on my side of the family in 24 years! To say he was spoiled rotten is an understatement. He had his sisters, my parents, and my grandparents to give him pretty much whatever he wanted! But he was always such a good, easy kid. He is still a good kid. He is kind and helpful (most of the time). He isn't perfect (we still have a bad attitude and a smart mouth at times) but I wouldn't trade him for the world.
