Top Ten

What's up blogger friends?!  Sorry, but I only have a few minutes to blog, so I'll just give you a quick run down and call it our Top Ten :) About 3 or 4 weeks ago Carl got a new mower...and he was super excited about it, so he wanted me to take his picture :) T in his shades he got for Easter and his new hat that Nanny and Pop got him from Bass Pro Last weekend we went to visit Carl's mom and TR and ended up seeing the whole crew....well except for Jeannie.  All the grand kids were there anyway :)  If you look closely you can see the snake....that Trey killed.  He was out playing in the front yard and then I saw him beating something with a baseball bat and there it was  a snake!  I'm not sure what kind it was because he had already beat it beyond recognition.  The only good snake to me is a dead one.  We had a talk and maybe he won't be killing anymore snakes! Check out this HUGE egg that Grammy and Papa got from one...

Happy Easter!

Since Easter was only two weeks ago, I thought I would finally post some pictures.  So here, my friends are our top Easter pictures: The kids made some goodies at Nanny's after we dyed eggs with the Simpson's. Yes, we got baby chickens, and No, they are not staying at our house.  Grammy and Papa have chickens already, so they are keeping them for us and we just go down there to see them and feed them. Carlie got a prize egg. We had Grammy's Easter on Sunday after church at the Community Center.  Her house is just not big enough when we all get together.  Hope you all had a Happy Easter! Beth

A Great Good Friday!

Eli, Noah, and Makena by the sandbox Ellie Kate eating her goldfish and watching TV.  She loves TV! Trey and Noah with Nanny's flea market find. The Three Musketeers walking to the river. Easter Buckets from Nanny and Pop Jamie and the kids came down Friday afternoon and the kids got to play, and play, and play the whole rest of the day!  They had a lot of fun and really enjoyed each other's company until they got tired :)  Darn nap time always gets in the way! Carl was at work, but did get off a little earlier that night because we had a bonfire after we ate hamburgers and hotdogs at Nanny and Pops :) Hope Everybody Has A Happy Easter Weekend!! Beth

Resurrection Rolls

Tonight was our Discovery Easter celebration.  We didn't have candy and eggs, but instead my dad read the book, The Legend of The Three Trees to the kids and then we made resurrection rolls.  We made the rolls last year also, but for a different group of kids, and again they really enjoyed seeing the empty "tomb".  Ready to go in the oven!  They are made out of crescent rolls (flattened), a marshmallow dipped in melted butter then rolled in cinnamon and sugar, then rolled up in these little balls and baked. The rest of the kids Blurry picture:  he moves around more than most people reading a book/giving a devotion! After you bake it, the marshmallow dissolves and when you open it, it's empty! T thought it was pretty yummy too! Some of the kids singing "Lord I Lift Your Name On High" This has nothing to do with Easter or Resurrection rolls, but T's awesome teacher, Mrs. Odom, bought this for me from Thirty One for helping her o...
