#AYC 2016

Carl and I along with a few other sponsors and our Pastor took our youth group to the Arkansas Youth Conference in Little Rock. It was a fun weekend filled with lots of memories. We had a girl that went with us (she just started coming to Discovery on Wednesday nights) accept Jesus as her Savior! That was definitely a highlight!!  This was the first year for Trey to go and the first year for Carlie to go and stay the night. Of course Makena was there...she LOVES AYC! We ate at the Flying Fish before the conference started. Carlie noticed that left her purse at the restaurant about 2 hours later and so Carl and I went back to get it. We heard an awesome message that night and the music was pretty good too. I will admit that I had to keep earplugs in...does that officially make me old?! Here are a few pictures from our trip:

Trey with a statue that he thought was cool!

We were ready for some loud music, and good preaching!

You can still have fun, too!

Very awesome experience to be a part of.

Much Love,
Beth

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
