A Post Of Pictures

We spent the day before my Dad's surgery (9/20) swimming and visiting with him. He knew it would be his last time in the pool this year.

It was plenty warm! I believe it was around 95 that day. Not exactly fall-like temps!

Going shopping at Walmart with these two always proves to be interesting.

I finally cut my hair! Well I didn't cut it but I had it cut. I'd say a good 7 inches, maybe more. It looks and feels so much healthier.

Makena got her Halloween costume in the mail last week. Now we just have to work on her car decor for Trunk Or Treat!

While my Dad was in the hospital, we kept Toby. He is the funniest, sweetest, most silly dog ever. I was pretty happy when he got to go back home Sunday night though!

He liked Carlie a lot too!
When Trey and Carl go check game cameras at the farm, I usually get pictures like this. Of course it makes me a little sad because he looks so grown up. He loves being "big" though.

The doggies: Sadie and Jack

There hasn't been a ton going on around here. Carl has been busy and getting in late (closer to 8:45 a couple of nights). The younger kids and I have been doing school, Discovery, bowling in the scholarship league, and helping with my grandparents. Carlie has been busy with college classes, high school classes, and work plus applying to college (which is a whole different post in itself!). Pretty much the same things we have been doing for the past month.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
