If you have ever watched the comedian, John Crist, you kind of get the reference of the title of this post. If you haven't heard of him, go to YouTube and look him up...he is quite hilarious. I have purposely been spending more time with Carlie lately. She will likely be leaving for college in the fall, so all the mom guilt of times past has been racing through my mind. We were out for a little ride one day and a specific person came up in our conversation. We both agreed on our feelings about them. This person is loud and abnoxous, and things that aren't very smart come out of his/her mouth on the regular. This reminded me of an event that I recently came home from. I was angry and hurt at a particular person. We spent the first two weeks of February celebrating! Carl's birthday is the 7th and seven days later is Valentine's day. On Carl's birthday we went to Nick's in Carlisle to eat with my parents.  Carl's mother was sick and lives roughly an hour away, so they couldn't come. The food was awesome and we had a good time. I am so thankful for Carl. We started dating two weeks after he turned 16, so we have grown up together. I love him more than he will ever know. Here's to many more!  This was a bigger outing for Makena. She was in pain by the time we left but did well. This recovery has been super slow. Not at all what we expected. I hate that she got sick before Christmas but I'm thinking it was a blessing in disguise that she couldn't have the surgery before Christmas.  This was the first Sunday that all three kids were able to be in class together since early January.  We believe in celebrating little victories in our house.
