Marathon Posting

I got in trouble the other day for not keeping my blog updated like I used to, so that's why I've been doing a little marathon posting :)  I really am trying to keep up with much bigger things in my life right now and I feel like I'm hanging by a string sometimes.  That being said, here's what's new today: Father's Day Can you believe that I didn't even get a picture of my dad or Carl today?!  I'm failing, I know!  We spent the morning at church, ate lunch at my Grammy's house with Papa, Daddy, and Carl.  The majority of the rest of the afternoon was spent trying to wrap up packing.  Carlie has been packed and ready since Friday and was aggravated because Carl and I wouldn't hurry up and pack our stuff!  That's our Carlie.  She was born ready for something.  Here are the few pictures I did get today: I lied, I did get a picture of my dad and Carl....a behind picture! Pretty soon we'll have to have a trailer :)  Yes, you do see t...

Happy Father's Day!

We just wanted to give a shout-out to some pretty awesome dads on Father's Day: My Carl :), My Daddy, My Papa, My Papaw, And, T.R. We think that all of you are great dads and we love you all very much! Happy Father's Day!

End Of The Week Pictures

Trey wanted to swim with his hat on! He had been diving for this red fish, that he named "red" and for the blue squid that he named "Larry"???? These blurry pictures are from my phone and were taken at TGI Friday's. Me and Makena.  She has been super-glued to me since school let out.  She LOVES her mommy :) You'll have to click on this picture to enlarge it and see if you can see the surprise.  Typical day on the farm! T's masterpiece.  He loves to "draw" on the computer. He did this the other day when he was on a pirate kick. Before I go, I have to ask for a few prayers again.  First off, I want to ask you to please pray for the Barnes family.  I mentioned Tonya and her new baby Jagger a few posts ago.  I am very sad to report that Jagger passed away last night.  I also just found out today that this was not the first baby that she lost.  A few years ago she had a baby that was stillborn.  Please pray that they will find peace and...

Mid-Week Update!

Trey made a shed for his trucks out of Jenga pieces, Lego blocks and whatever else he could find!  Trey and Makena love having Carl to swim with.  This was taken Monday evening.  A storm had come through earlier that day and it was pretty cool.  I didn't get in that day because I was working on my school work...story of my life these days! Elijah.  My mom is watching him this week while Jamie, Cody, Noah, and Ellie Kate are at camp.  They just decided that a 2 year old and church camp wouldn't be a good mix. I don't know why I don't have a picture of Carlie, but she was definitely here during all the festivities :) Happy Hump Day!!

Saturday at the Zoo!!

Today we decided that we'd take a little family trip....back to the LR zoo!  It was a VERY hot day, BUT we went and had a blast.  I guess most people thought it was too hot to be at the zoo because there were not very many people there.  They had a few buildings with AC, and topped with an icecream and cool drinks, it made it doable :)  After we left the zoo we shopped around a little bit then grabbed a bite to eat, then FINALLY found our way back to Arkansas County.  It was a hot, but fun day :)  It was one lazy day!  Trey said it looked like Pop :) My picture in the birdhouse Makena in front of the alligators. Trey wanted to feed them.  I told him that he'd probably make them a good snack! Look at those teeth. Carlie and Makena feeding the Koi Not too sure about this one. Makena by the new elephants, Jewel and Zion.  Mary died about a month or so ago, and they got two new elephants to stay with Ellen.  Jewel and Zion are r...

Friday Night Facials

My two girlies Makena with her mask Carlie getting her mask on! For about three or four nights the girls have been begging me to let them do these face masks.  So last night I gave and and we did the face masks and painted our fingernails and toenails.  The masks came from all that "stuff" that they got when Mom cleaned out her bathroom and we bought new fingernail/toenail polish the other day.  Carlie picked out this really pretty purple (Revlon) that smells like grape when it dries! We didn't find out about that until we got home.  Believe it or not, they still smell like grape today :)  Makena picked out a pretty pink.  It was late when we started this, so that put our bedtime later, but hey it's summer, right?!

Story Time With T

Today was the first Story Time of the summer at our local library.  The age group they have put together for the summertime program is 3-12 for the first group and the 13-17 for the second group.  They also offer an adult group as well as other fun things like movie nights...etc.  Anyway, Carlie and Makena just thought they were too old to go in with the same group as Trey, so they went shopping with Nanny and Grammy while Trey, Maxee, and I went to see a magic show!  There were a ton of kids and adults there, so I sat on the floor with the kids.  They all had such a big time.  It was so funny to watch them laugh at the magician do all of his tricks and act silly.  They both followed instruction so well.  Trey was very happy that Maxee went with him because for once, HE got to be the big kid :)
