Happy Birthday T!

Trey was trying to show me his 4 fingers and eat his ice cream
at the same time!
He was pretty happy about having everyone sing to HIM:)

Trey even got a REAL fireman hat from his friend Luke

Opening Candy Land--what kid doesn't love that game?!

Trey got a little (unwanted) help from cousin Noah!
I can't believe it's already been 4 years! Where does the time go? It seems like it was only yesterday that we found out that we were going to get our baby boy, and now he's already 4!! He is getting so big too. It seems like it took a lot longer with him, or maybe it is just because I held on to my "baby" harder than the girls, but I never thought that he would become so independent:) Boys are SO different than girls. Trey broke us in real good on that one. I distinctly remember that first diaper change at our house when he christened the blinds by the changing table! Man, I wasn't ready for that one, of course the girls just died laughing! BOYS!!
Anyway, enough of memory lane. For his 4th birthday he decided that he wanted a fireman theme. So that is exactly what he got:) We just had a family party this year, but next year he will be in preschool, so I imagine we will probably have a kid party with all his friends. He had a great party and loved everything he got:)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
