This And That

Maxee, Trey, and Carlie were tired of swimming

Carl had his mouth full :)

Makena, being silly.
Last Thursday Carl brought this home to "try out".
It's all he's talked about ever since!
My Sweet Carlie

Nana and Papaw T.R.'s house

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted!  I hate having to play catch up, but here it goes..
I'll start on June 10Th.  This is the day that Carlie accepted Jesus as her Savior!  I'd say that would be the most important and life changing news.  I've stated many times on here about her being under conviction and that I have prayed everyday that she would quit fighting it, and it happened--FINALLY--at a VBS meeting of all places!!  I was so relieved and I know she was too.  Her baptism is set for June 27Th.

We have been spending most days just trying to keep cool.  We had a little bit of a stomach bug last week, but thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could have been.  As you can see above, Carl found him a new toy!! He loves this thing and keeps telling me that it would cut his mowing time in half!!  My argument is..."But we don't NEED a new mower"!!  We'll see...
Saturday we went to Wynne to visit Carl's parents.  We had a great day and of course had great food!  I can't believe I didn't get any pictures....I guess I was having an off day!! The girls (Carlie, Makena, and Keely) planned a mini vacation/girls week(or few days) with Nana :)  Hope you're ready for them, Nana!!
This week is going to be pretty busy because we are having Vacation Bible School at our church every night.   I'll be doing music... for the preschoolers....please pray for me!!!  I'm sure I'll have lots more pictures to share :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
