Happy 6th Birthday, Trey

Happy Birthday sweet Trey!  You have been such a joy to us over the past 6 years!  Here are some facts about you right now:
You weigh about 38lbs and are 3ft. 9inches tall.
You love going to school now and you are doing quite well!
Your best friends are Whit Caldwell and Hayden Duke.
Your favorite food is a hamburger (you really love any kind of meat though)
Your most favorite thing to do right now is ride your bike!
You love your cousins Noah and Elijah and talk about them almost everyday :)
You love playing the guitar with Daddy.
Ya'll make up the craziest songs and you love every minute of it!

Here are some funny things that you have said lately:
I do NOT like yunions (onions)!
When naming the three Hebrew children you said, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abillygoat!!
You like to give the little boys in your class nuggey's only you call them nuggets :)

There are many more but I'm so tired right now, I can barely think.  We love you, Trey Landon, and we are so thankful that God gave you to us 6 years ago today!

Now here are a few pictures from today:

You playing at school with some of your friends

Playing with the Play-Doh set Mrs. Andrea got you today.  You loved it :)
You also got a Mater Operation game from Nanny and Pop, three cards with money in them (thanks Nana, Papaw Garrett, and Aunt Shelia!), and you got your free birthday pie (you picked blueberry) from our sweet neighbors at the pie shop.  So, even though you did have to go to school on your birthday, I got to spend it with you and you had a pretty great day!  You didn't even get a stick pulled :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
