Open House & A Bonfire

Carlie and Mrs. Edmondson

Makena and Mrs. Schiederer

Trey with Mrs. Odom

Friday I took the kids to Open House where they got check out their classroom, talk with their teacher, and see some of their friends.  Carl met up with us just as we were leaving Carlie's class and we went to eat Mexican :)  The kids are really excited about Monday, and I guess I kind of am too!  It's always fun to start school....new beginnings.  It's great to know that they are at a Christian School and learn not only from a great curriculum, but also learn about the Bible.  It is such a blessing to be able to go there!  Friday night after Carl got in we had our first bonfire of the season!  The weather was pretty nice and believe it or not the mosquitoes were not all that bad ;)  Just as we were picking up to come back in, it started to sprinkle, and it ended up raining and Carl didn't have to cut Today.  We worked pretty much all day on cleaning the barn.  Not all that fun, but it needed to be done very badly and I feel like we got something accomplished over the weekend anyway!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch his wings.  He has a re-directed path now and I pray e

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't say we went swi
