Fall Is In The Air!

The mums have arrived!  I always buy my mums from our local chapter of FFA.  I figure its a pretty good program to support :)
I have a couple of warmers that I like to keep going at the house, but instead of buying the expensive scentsy wax bars, I have found that these bars from Better Homes and Gardens work just as well, and I've started mixing the "flavors".  Makena walked in from school one day and said, "yummy, it smells like fall in here" :)
We've also done a little decorating inside!  The kids love all the fall decorations we have collected over the years.  Some of them the kids have made (like the small pumpkin on the left), some of them we have had since they were little, and I have bought a few newer things like the big pumpkin.  There are just little touches of fall/Halloween all throughout the house!
Since it finally feels like Fall, Carl decided to make some chili today!  On this ugly, cold day, I'm just going to throw the healthy stuff out the window and have some of the best chili in the world and then eat some cinnamon rolls....all that cooler weather comfort stuff!

Happy Fall, Friends!

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
