More Summer Musings

I love all of my flowers!

Me and my 3 bambinos

Trey has started helping Carl mow.  It makes Trey feel big and it helps Carl out a lot!

Still working on my fitness!

Not sure what all of this brother/sister love came from on this day.  Most of the time he drives her nuts!

Sometimes she scares me to death!

Nanny has been spending time with us at the pool too!  She always keeps the pool games going :)

The second week of summer has already come and gone. We have spent a lot of time in the pool, letting Carlie drive us around(even in town...YIKES), and just hanging out! Carl has been super busy planting beans...I kinda feel guilty that he's working so hard while we are hardly working at all. I know a lot of people don't like staying at home but I do. I enjoy being here getting everything done that needs to be done! I like the simple life. I used to hate hanging out clothes when I was little, partly because I was embarrassed someone would see me and think we didn't have a dryer, and partly because it was one of my chores. Now I actually enjoy it, it has become a sort of therapy for me. Sounds silly I know.
Next week is set to be a little more busy...Makena will start her sewing class and I have GOT to get busy working on VBS stuff. Those are our musings of the week :) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
