Happy Birthday Carlie and Nanny!!

Happy 17th birthday to Carlie Erin!! It is so hard to believe that you are seventeen. You have grown into such a wonderful person. You are sweet, smart, and beautiful inside and out. I am proud of you and all of your accomplishments. Even though I still have to be in "Mom" mode because you know, I am your mother, I also feel like we are friends.
I pray that you will always let God lead you. Seek Him in all you do and you will always be good to go!

Friday night we went to Little Rock to ice skate. You had a ton of fun and only fell down once!

You went hunting with your dad on Saturday, but he forgot to send me any pictures.  You saw a doe but let it walk because you are waiting on that buck!!
Sunday, your actual birthday was church day. We let you open presents from us before church.

After church, we had a party at Nanny and Pop's for you and Nanny!
Your dad smoked some ribs and pork butts and they were very tasty!!

You and Nanny shared a cake.
58 and 17 😊😊

Blow out those candles, baby girl!

Not sure what that look was about.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch his wings.  He has a re-directed path now and I pray e

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't say we went swi

Back To School Photo Shoot: The Girls

The girls were of course more than eager to do their pictures, T however, was not.  That is why we still haven't done it yet!  Hmmm....maybe a bribe would work!  He's been wanting Open Season 2 out of the $5 bin at Wal-Mart :)  We are super excited about Open House tomorrow night and about school on Monday :)  Beth
