Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Time is flying by. But seriously, due to the fact that Thanksgiving fell so late in the month, November seemed eternally long. We have had fun celebrating this week with family.

At 91 and 84 -with early onset alzheimers, you better bet I'm thankful to be spending another Thanksgiving with them.

My sister was suffering from kidney stones, and her boys were unwilling to get in the picture, so this picture of Ellie Kate and Tim is going to be their family. I am thankful them all.

And this guy will never know how much he means to me.

This has been a dozy of a year but it has made our bond ever closer.

I am thankful for my Carl.

I am more thankful for you both with each passing day.

My dad and Noah ran in the Great Duck Race 5K.

Noah runs cross country, so it was no biggy for him.

My dad has been training for months now. It was a great accomplishment for him to run this. After having knee surgery on both knees and being in remission fro prostate cancer, I would definitely say he is a winner! He did win his age division by the way.

I am proud of you, Dad!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week. I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday. Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling. It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew. It was him. It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with Andrea and Erika for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004. I just love it when a plan comes together. A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible. Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for a What's Up Wednesday. It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up. What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken. We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal. Not only is this recipe super easy, it is also a quick meal with a simple ingredients list: Meat • 4 cups Chicken, cooked Produce • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder • 1/2 tsp Onion powder Canned Goods • 1 (10.5 ounce) can Cream of chicken soup Baking & Spices • 1/8 tsp Black pepper • 1/4 tsp Salt Snacks • 1 1/2 sleeves Ritz crackers Dairy • 1/2 cup Butter • 1 cup Sour cream Mix your chicken along with your other ingredients and spices and then pour them all in a baking dish.
