Weekend Recap: The Late Edition

Our Friday started out like this. I walked into the living room where Makena was doing school and saw this coke can sitting like this by her feet. When she took her feet off of the table it stayed like that, all on it's own.  Pretty witchy way to start the day!

We had a parking lot service on Sunday.  Several people came, several didn't,  but we had a great service. It was good to see our church family.

Sunday was a beautiful day. Makena and Trey took full advantage and went for a Ranger ride.

I stole this from Carlie because I didn't have any pictures of her this weekend.
This picture sums up why. These two are still spending as much time together as possible. He is my fourth kid!

Carl moved my windmill closer to the garden and had to tighten a few things up.

Trey and Carl played a lot of basketball this weekend. Mostly just shooting or trying to out do each other. Take this shot off of the trailer.  BOYS!!

Carl is really enjoying his new Blackstone.
I am enjoying that he is doing some of the cooking!

So how are ya'll doin'? We are hanging in there. Saturday a was rough day for me. I had just had enough and was super grumpy. We ended up going for a little drive and picked up some pizza. The kids seem to be doing pretty good. We each have our moments of feeling like we are losing our minds. A little fresh air, a short drive, or a nap seem to help chase the blues away.
God is still good, EVERY DAY. It's my attitude and focus that have to be adjusted.
One day at a time, friends. One day at a time.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
