Life lately has been a whole lot of the same...social distancing, staying home, blah blah BLAH. Here are a few fun things we've been doing:
Makena had a zoom call with her advisor and got her fall classes all set up!
Things are getting real. It makes me sad and proud at the same time.
Trey has started his mowing business again.
We have been getting some good use out of the Blackstone this week, cooking fajitas and chicken. Disregard my dirty kitchen window...i had to hurry and snap a picture before he noticed me. He was being supervised by Carl.
We went for a ride to the farm on ATV's.
Two by two. Caleb and Carlie, Makena and Trey, and me and Carl.
It was a fun but long ride (about 7 miles to get there).
It was a cold ride back home.
My Grammy has the most beautiful flowers in her yard and has been fixing bouquets. She surprised me with these last week. They smell delightful!
Mr. Frog has no idea that his days are probably numbered. I haven't been frog hunting with the boys yet, but Trey and I have been scouting a bit.
Hopefully frog legs will be on the menu soon.
On Saturday night we got the whole family to come over for dinner.
Carl grilled chicken (not from our coop😉) and I fixed the sides. There were 12 people packed in our little house. I guess you could say we were nice and cozy. Even if I never have one here on this side of heaven, I know I have a mansion "just over the hilltop".
On Sunday I snapped some pictures of Makena with her Sr. sign.
I am still trying to keep her senior year special and somewhat normal (even though her graduation has been postponed until July 18).
I am excited to have gotten my egg cartons in the mail yesterday.
It's the little things❤
The hens got a sweet treat.
They love watermelon as much as we do!
And that is about all we have been doing. Carl has been busy working, the kids are still doing school (only 10 more days!), and it seems as if all I do anymore is pick up after people! Some days are better than others, but we are still hanging in there.
Much Love,
Beth
