Good morning friends! I hope that you all had a terrific weekend. We had a pretty typical weekend around here. Late night rides, weenie roasts/bonfires, bowling, and church. The temperatures are finally lining up with the beginning of fall, so we were able to (comfortably) spend more time outside.
Saturday morning bowling.
Trey bowled with a *gasp* girl today.
Needless to say he may have been a little distracted.
He scored pretty well on the first one, but the second one sucked!
Makena came home on Saturday afternoon after spending the morning serving the community of Arkadelphia with her school.
she served with the History department (she is a public History major)
Ouachita is such a great school!
Carl was cutting rice all day on Saturday. We are used to him never being around for the fun during harvest, but we always miss him.
Saturday was also National Daughters Day.
I sure love my two girls. They are both great kids and I am super proud of them.
Since my sister's kids were here, we had a weenie roast at my parent's house.
Noah wouldn't smile for me, so this is what we got! Teenage boys are something else.
My Grammy and BIL, Tim.
Papa and Grammy
After we got back from my parent's Carlie and Caleb came over for a good old fashioned bonfire.
It was so good to have everyone here....
Even Carl got to be here!
Trey and Macy...Macy belongs to Carlie and Caleb and she and Boone are besties.
Boone finally out-grew her, but Macy NEVER.SITS.STILL! Hence, the reason she is blurry!
Today is National Sons Day!
I am so happy that God gave us a son. Our would was so nice and clean and PINK before Trey.
Even though he is a little messy and sometimes dirty and stinky, we love that he turned our world upside down 16 years ago.
This is my favorite thing to do after a very long frustrating day of school.
Homeschool isn't always fun and games. Sometimes my dear sweet boy doesn't want to do his work or watch all of his lessons. That makes for a real fun day for us both. He may or may not get threatened with public school at that point.
