New Post, Who Dis?!

Whew, two posts in three days! I have promised myself to finish the year strong😀

Let me start by giving a little Thanksgiving recap.  We went to my parent's for lunch and then came back here and chilled out for a few hours before dragging the Christmas tree and all of the decorations out.

These two boys sitting at the table have been getting into mischief together since 2008!
And Eli (in the background) has been in the middle of them since 2009!

A few of the early guests
Uncle Charlie, Mom, Tim, Ellie Kate...I am thankful for them all!

We sure are thankful that he is with us this year!
I explained a little bit of what happened with him on my previous post.
He is feeling pretty good.  Still dealing with some brain fog but that is to be expected with any kind of brain trauma.

Carlie and Toby

My kiddos
I am very thankful that God chose me to be their mama.
I am thankful that they have all made professions of faith and choice to follow God
And I pray that as they grow their families, they will always see the importance of putting Him first.

Grammy, Papa, Uncle Dean, and Aunt Becky
I am thankful that I still have one set of grandparents alive and that they have had such an active part in the lives of their great grandkids. I am also thankful for all of my aunts and uncles.

Jill and Hadlee

Carl got the turkey carving job

She is so silly!
I'm so thankful that her back is better.  We had a major scare after an incident at the gym, but thankfully it wasn't a big deal after all.  I think we both has PTSD about her back injuries!

I am thankful for Carl.
He loves me well, even though I'm a mess!

Look at these yummy desserts!
The cannoli cake was wonderful, as was Makena's trifle!

I am not quite finished putting up Christmas decorations, and I'm not extremely happy with the tree yet, so I'm not sharing any pictures of that BUT here is an adorable picture of Boone.  He was a little less than thrilled about it all but cooperated for a few (5) treats😉

We ended the night with Christmas Vacation!

*In case you were wondering about my back situation: it is about the same.  If I'm not doing much it's okay. I may have to make a trip to the doctor to get a shot on Monday.
*In case you were wondering about my case with my Walmart account: There is no change.  They still have not refunded my money because my case hasn't been assigned to anyone (happend the day before Thanksgiving= worse time to expect anything fast to happen).  Which leads me to one last thing: Thank God (sincerely) for my parents. They are always helping me out however they can.  They have always been the perfect example of selfless love. I pray that I will always choose to do the same for my kids.

Thank you for reading my ramblings.  The only consistent thing on this blog is the inconsistency of it all! I would say that it is going to be my New Year's resolution to be a regular on here next year, but let's face it:  in the event that life gets crazy, blogging is definitely the first thing to go.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
