SHINE! VBS 2024

Wrenley was so excited to ride the train, especially since Trey was driving it!

Makena Faith and Elijah Garrett
The two middle babies of their families

Wrenley really wanted BeBe (me) but since I was leading the music, she settled for Pappy!

Trey was pulling the train with the Gator and the help of his buddy, Bailey

Popcorn! Get your popcorn!! My mom had fun dressing up

You have to pull out all of the stops when doing music with 2-year-olds!
Maracas for the win!

Makena was captivating her audience.

She loved VBS for the most part

Two cute donkeys!

Now that's more like it!

My helper for the week

Wrenley was absolutely fascinated with this baby!
She didn't want to let her go.

The cutest class ever :)

It was a very fun, exhausting week! We had movie theme going this week.  There were a total of 5 movies: a mystery (at the house of Dagon), a romance (Ruth and Boaz), a comedy (the talking donkey), an action (David and Goliath), and a musical (the leaping king (David)). I think overall they liked the mystery and the talking donkey the best! We had a little smaller group this year, but these kiddos raised close to $500 for the Texarkana Baptist Children's Home! That is pretty impressive if you ask me!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch his wings.  He has a re-directed path now and I pray e

Friday Favorites

This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't say we went swi
