Arkansas County Fair

Last night Carl and I took the kids to DeWitt for the Arkansas County Fair.  They had some different rides this year and the kids had a lot of fun.  The girls wanted to ride the "big" rides which kind of made me sad because they are growing up so fast.  I still want to dress them in their overalls and ride the merry-go-round with them!
Trey is in the 3rd car on this little roller coaster.
He loved it, but never would let go of the bar!
Makena wanted to ride the Ali Baba but Carlie didn't want to
so Makena just marched up there all by herself!  I know Carl
was secretly dieing to get on it with her, but didn't dare embarrass her like that :)
Carlie wanted to ride the Cobra while Makena was on her ride.
You can barely see her up there in the air all by herself!
She said it was her favorite!!
T on the airplane
All three of them rode this ride, which I thought wouldn't be
a big deal because it didn't really go very fast, and Carlie
and Makena don't know how to spin very well.
The minute they stepped off of it Carlie said that Trey started getting white around
his mouth, and then he piped in and said, "I feel realwy dizzy"!
Poor little guy!! Oh, and this was as good of a shot as I could get of them--I
guess it was a little faster than I thought!

In the animal barn...they felt right at home there :)

Makena petting the goat
We definitely used Germ-X after this!
"No more pictures!!"  Sometimes I think my kids feel
like they are followed around by paparazzi!!

It was a great memory-making night :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch his wings.  He has a re-directed path now and I pray e

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't say we went swi

Back To School Photo Shoot: The Girls

The girls were of course more than eager to do their pictures, T however, was not.  That is why we still haven't done it yet!  Hmmm....maybe a bribe would work!  He's been wanting Open Season 2 out of the $5 bin at Wal-Mart :)  We are super excited about Open House tomorrow night and about school on Monday :)  Beth
