A Great Friday!

Trey thought it was a great day to play in the sandbox.

Then Makena came home from school and wanted to play too :)

the kids love sitting out by the fire.

They got tired of the fire and decided to ride the 4wheeler

This is the dangerous, Most Wanted, Trey!
We are doing a cowboy themed birthday party this year, and this
is going to be the picture on his invitation (a Most Wanted poster).

Our Labor Day weekend is off to a wonderful start!  Yesterday was really pleasant and since I was still in the "Fall" mood, Carl and I decided that it was time for a bonfire.  We roasted marshmallows, sat around the fire and talked, rode 4wheelers, and just had a good time.  We had planned on having a weenie roast too, but The Simpson's ended up coming down to my Mom and Dad's house so we ate hamburgers and hot dogs over there.  Trey was very happy to have Noah and Eli to play with.
The girls had a great week at school!  Carlie seems to be much better now, and Makena has quit being so clingy to me.  I will be working at their school every Tuesday, starting this coming week.  I think it will be a good thing because I can stay involved in what's going on up there, and it will also give T a break from me.  He will be staying with my mom or my grandma.
Carl is working all weekend (except Sunday), so we are just going to hang out, follow the Razorbacks, and enjoy our long weekend :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
